People just need to get used to it, from now on every player we recruit will have a twitter. It's something that isn't going away, so if you're going to complain about twitter updates, don't look them up and read their posts.
Hopefully this dude comes here and balls out.

The Oklahoma Sooners got some big recruiting news from the West Coast, with the commitment of Inglewood (CA) WR/S Derrick Woods.
The Oklahoma Sooners got some big news on the recruiting front on Tuesday night with the commitment of four-star wide receiver/safety Derrick Woods from Inglewood (CA) High School.
"Derrick has committed to Oklahoma," said Derrick's mother, Monica Freeman. "He talked to the coaches tonight."
Woods is one of the most sought after recruits on the West Coast and picked Oklahoma over offers from several of the top programs from across the country.
The 5-11, 180-pound athlete has the potential to play on either side of the ball but is being recruited by the Sooners as a wide receiver.
“I like the way they run their offense,” Woods told Scout.com. “They throw the ball a lot, they have championships under their belt, and they recruit good quarterbacks.
“They now want me to play wide receiver, which is good and means a lot to me, because that is where I really want to play.”

Here is a link to a video of his US Army AA Ceremony
http://recruiting.scout.com/2/1128598.html
From ESPN Insider
"They have had a lot of success with California players and had three guys starting just this year. Tony Jefferson and Kenny Stills are from here and they hosted me on my visit. Both guys said they loved it there and told me I would have no problem adjusting to living in a different part of the country.”

In my experience with working with athletes, there is an inverse relationship with the amount of gangsterness vs. amount of toughness. especially the ones that go public with how 'gangsta' they are. The only thing that most of those guys will ever assault is the English language.

Hope he play can/will play safety cause our WR coming in are loaded. Does anyone know we are looking with bringing in more defensive players (especially DT and LB); that's if we have any schollys left for the year?

If the next few years, are anything like the previous few years than we need as many as we can sign. Between the 2007,2008, 2009 classes, we signed 8 WR's. Of those 8, only 3* are still in Norman. (Broyles, Miller, Reynolds) *Corey Wilson is technically still in Norman

DSS I don't think we are recruiting any LB's and i think all the Dt we are recruiting are going somewhere else. I don't understand it either. I think we need a big lb and a juco safety and a juco cb. we probably cant recruit any more dt because we had so many last year but lb is a critical need in my opinion

I'm a little worried about our front four next year. With F Alexander and R Lewis gone and no stand outs returning for DT ... I sure hope someone steps up during Spring and Summer.
Hopefully we can get Little Stoops to come in (not wanting train wreak this tread with that statement); that will give the DEF recruiting a big shot in the arm (maybe steal that DE from FSU).

We got 3 DT's last year that didn't play this year for academic reasons. We should be ok at DT next year. They were late qualifiers so they are being grey shirted until next year.

I wouldn't think that. That Kid's like AD.... Competition shouldn't scare him off. He can walk into any school in the country and by the end of the year be there number 1 receiver. I've said this before, but I really think having Neal as a commit keeps us in. Neal says that DGB and him have talked a lot about playing together in college. I don't have a clue if they are truly close at all, but going off to college if you have a close friend going to the same college they become like your family. Now, I know some people are not fond of the cali trio but I don't think that we would have gotten Jefferson without getting Stills and I don't think we would have got Stills without Clay and vice versa. They are from the same state and Having a friend from back home makes road trips home easier.

Ya you guys are right, lets just talk about how trashy his Twitter is and how he lacks moral character before he steps on campus. Good approach. BTW If you are from any decent sized city, the "gangster" type is not pussy, and the inner city teams always outplay the suburban schools... They are faster, tougher, and even play dirtier. Sorry to go against the board mindset of trashing our new commits and all...:stoopspalm:

A few thoughts:
1. This kid is sick. Definitely the best looking prospect in the class so far.
2. I can already tell that are bothered by Kenny's antics are going to go batshit over this guy lol.
3. I wish he was willing to play safety, because we need him there, and it looks like he'd be a great one.
4. He should return punts next year. Unreal speed plus open field moves? Yes please.

It is looking like DGB and Stefon Diggs have talked about playing at the same college according to Rivals. If that's the case, I believe Woods and Diggs need to switch to DB's. Their highlight videos showed they have incredible speed. Something I believe OU didn't have this year. Both those guys could start at CB/Safety next year.

I would let Stefon Diggs play offense if i guarantees OU DGB. I'm sure OU has done worse package deals for players.
