The wife and I went to The Shack in Norman last night for dinner and left a little disappointed. We had heard good things about it. She had the Cajun tacos which were just corn tortillas filled with shrimp and scallop creole, nothing else. I had the crawfish étouffée and friend crawfish tails. The...

That time of year ...
Several years ago, the waiter at a restaurant was really raving about their butternut squash & apple soup. I usually go for a salad, on the "soup or salad" choice, but he sold me on it. And it turned out to be fantastic.
A couple of weeks later, I decided to...
I'm coming back to Norman for the game Saturday for the first time in several years. I'll have most of Friday to hang out with my 5 year old daughter, so any lunch and dinner recommendations would be much appreciated. I'm leaning towards the Greek House for nostalgia's sake, but if you have...
anybody watch this show? i found it on netflix, its a pbs production narrated by anthony bourdain. its a pretty good show, gets away from your normal cooking or travel show and gets into the philosophy of food. as someone who cooks for a living, some of the stuff talked about is mind blowing.
Any of you want to hang it up for an Aggie?
Why was I not made aware of these?
A Dream Come True
What are you going to eat?
My usuals: Jalapeno corny dog, deep-fried frito chili pie, steak fajita nachos.
Might try the deep-fried gordita if I'm feeling really fat, and I'm going to try the Funnel Cake Ale even if it may give me the ghey.
Hands down is Libby's in Goldsby. Terrible service every time I've been there. Food has been between mediocre to terrible. They can't get orders correct and have never acted like they were going to fix the orders or make them right. I'm not going back. Fuck that place.
It's always a tradition when we come home from OU/saxeT we stop and grub. They have one in Rockwell now as well.
Do you love it? Hate it? Meh about it?

The owners of this new start-up business are both OU grads - both very good friends from my grad school days. Dancil moved to Oregon for employment at Floating Point Systems and has now been with Intel for many years.

Thinking ribs and brats :horsepig:
I'm thinking of giving it a try. Probably going to use a crock pot and a temperature controller at first before I spend a bunch of money on a Sous Vide circulator.
What is the best 10x 15 model out there?:gdance:
So far its garnered an 83% on Urbanspoon....but that sometimes doesn't paint the whole story.
Here it is before putting on the smoker. I seasoned it yesterday afternoon and touched it up this morning.
Stopped there tonight and picked up a family meal... first time I've had KFC in at least 5 years, probably much longer than that. WTH has happened to that place? The extra-crispy was so damn salty I couldn't eat it. Maybe it's just been so long that I've forgotten how bad it sucked. Just...
