    Coffee Habits

I moved to OKC (Midtown, specifically) from Edmond in January. In Edmond, I made my own coffee almost every morning with the occasional Evoke/Aspen/Starbucks run. But, since I've been down here, I have made coffee at home 3 times (all in the past month because I bought a new grinder). I...

    Store-bought salsa

I often try a new jar or salsa when grocery shopping, usually turns out somewhere between 'meh' and 'not bad' but I tried Towhead salsa and it's incredible. The 'hot' is tasty but not as hot as I like; the Habanero is hot and very Habanero-ey. It's really fucking good. Made in Tuttle, OK....

    What’s your favorite holiday desert?

Mine is Apple-Pie and Lemon Cheesecake. My wife and I️ eat really healthy so both recipes for each now vs the past are out of a book called “The Wild Diet” and both are really delicious. That being said, we do splurge every Christmas morning and make sausage balls which are really tasty too....

    Let's Discuss OUr intake

Recently, I have seen magnificent results in my weight by doing nothing other than ditching the processed foods. It all clicked one day when cleaning out cupboard and there was a brick of cheese that I had purchased before the OU/ Texas game. My jaw dropped. I couldn't believe that the kitchen...

    Smokers...

I am a pretty decent grill artist but I'm looking at getting into smoking, especially with the fish that we catch. One of my neighbors is getting into it pretty heavily and I must admit it in the fall when the air is a little crisp, there's nothing like smelling Hickory, or pecan, or Applewood...

    Better Than Bullion ™

Anyone tried this product? I used the chicken base for a creamy sauce with some rotisserie chicken I'd shredded, and it's better than crack. Or at least better than bullion or store-bought broth.

I'm thinkin bout gettin a stick burner

I've read Aaron Franklin's book, and he's made a good case for cueing with wood only. I've been a Weber devotee for years. I've made much much good cue using charcoal and wood chunks. But Franklin has me thinkin its time for a wood burning offset. Lookin at a Horizon offset, that's made...
