Thank you for the kind message, we've been very blessed with her treatments and care so far. She doesn't really have a charity she's grabbed ahold of yet, her cancer is still a little too "in her face" to look in that direction I suspect. Our family has worked quite a bit with the Relay for Life, our son actually formed his own team when he was seven or eight and recruited a bunch of teachers from his school. My expectation is that we'll have a team again this year along with some friends, but my wife has said she's not sure she'll be up for the event this year because she may need a little more distance from her experience with it all.
For my money there is no bad charity that is engaged in this fight with us so do whatever makes you guys happy. And if there's someplace to list survivors, or make donations in honor of then her name is Gina Stanley and we'd be honored to be thought of.
Does your wife have a particular Cancer charity she likes or is involved with?
My family has a great deal with cancer at this point unfortunately and I only ask because my fiance and I are involved with a local event called "Rock for a Cure." The cover at the door goes to send local kids to a camp for part of the summer and the rest to Relay For Life. But also in the afternoon there is an auction where the proceeds go to a cancer charity designated donator. We'd love for our items to go to a cause your wife cares about in honor of your family's happy blessings this season.
God speed and God Bless.
