Contact a surveyor (a reputable one) and your attorney. They should be able to handle things from there.
If the land is intended for commercial usage I would make sure the appraiser is an MAI. If it is for residential an IFAC or an MAI would will suffice. If you're actually expecting any hiccups I wouldn't just have a state certified guy without MAI or IFAC credentials. It will protect you and the lender better.
