Announced a Top 6, unfortunately OU didn't make the cut...Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, UCLA, USC and tOSU
As bad as Traber is, until you're subjected to sports talk radio in Arkansas -- you haven't heard the worst talk show host on the air.
Not if for some reason they decided to keep it in juvenile court or the school didn't report it to law enforcement. A lot of private schools don't like to air their dirty laundry in public.
Not a fan of Tebow, but I think the scumbag in this situation is the Jets organization. They traded knowing they were getting a sideshow, and when they got it, they acted like it was his fault.
Arizona knew what they were getting when they drafted him. He'll get guaranteed money and he'll agree to random drug testing.
Not to mention I think this will be the first time he's had the same QB coach, OC and style of offense in consecutive seasons.
It probably cost 'em an expense account at Subway and a few nights at a Holiday Inn Express.
He'll likely play guard, he played RG, LT and C at Alabama and excelled at all three.
Sanders showed no signs he was done until he retired.
If after 10 years management could do no better than Rodney Peete, Erik Kramer, Eric Hipple, Andre Ware, Scott Mitchell, Dan Majkowski, Frank...
Not a Cowboy, Romo or Jerrah fan, but who was Dallas going to get if they didn't lock up Romo for three more years? There's certainly no one in the draft who looks like they're ready to start as a...
Depends, do you prefer codeine cough syrup or oxycodone?
I suspect more than a couple of the names on his list are schools that his parents and/or grandparents want him to check out, more than him having a significant interest in them. It also wouldn't...
Verbal to Ohio State
I've seen Cornwell quoted saying he won't stay in Oklahoma to play college ball. That was possibly a year ago, and I've heard that hasn't changed.
Who said that's happening?
But Todd Graham will likely be a non factor once the season is over and he finds his next dream job.
I still remember him posting that David Gordon, a Tulsa Central or East Central athlete (I think in '09 maybe), was wide open an hour or two after Gordon gave a verbal to Arkansas. I believe it was...
The thing I find ironic is her criticism of including Gonzo Le Batard, who you don't have to watch long "to know that he isn't exactly a full-time member of the sports media," when she works for the...
I could definitely see them taking him at 16 if he's around.
If Chance Warmack happened to be available at 16, I say get him. The OL could definitely use a LG as well as LT. At 22 and 46, go with the best WR and S available. If there was a marginal difference...
I think the national perception is, there's the SEC and then everyone else.
The OL only makes improvement if they sign Long, and it remains to be seen what kind of impact he can have. No doubt they need WR help, and I think the addition of Jared Cook at TE is a smart move....
And Rogers' dad is apparently smitten with Arkansas. They're stopping in Norman after a weekend visit to Arkansas.
Not sure OU has a realistic shot at Cornwell. He's a Florida transplant, and I read a little while back (I think it was in the Daily Oklahoman) where he said he was likely going to school out of...
Hurst played in the East-West Shrine Game
I think the max they could sign this year was 15, and they got 12 (13 if you count a 4* WR that originally signed in '12 but wasn't cleared by the NCAA, so he signed a new LOI in '13) with five 5*...
Saw a tweet that said Stoops announced during his presser yesterday that Ward hasn't been cleared by the NCAA, what's that about? Is it simply a result of him transferring before his senior year?
I don't know the specific cl****, but from what I gather its usually some math credit they lack that keeps them from being eligible in the SEC.
Arkansas coaches scheduled to have an in-home visit with Alexander on Friday
Yep, looks like they had trouble throwing the ball, especially early in the season. But the SOPH QB they had got a little better as the season went on. Also looks like he was the deep threat when...
Okay
I'm guessing are was supposed to be aren't?
My question is, how does going to 28 hours versus 38 hours help, since both are considered part-time, allowing a business owner to avoid being required to...
So Denny's is going to follow the business model others have employed for years now, nothing new. Dillards was doing this 20+ years ago when I worked there and Walmart has been doing it for even...
no clue why that post duplicated
Yep, which helped increase the rural vote, and combined with the votes Richardson drew from Largent in Oklahoma and Tulsa counties allowed Henry to win by less than 7,000 votes (I think that number...
How was Brad Henry able to win as a D in 2002?
He got help from former U.S. Attorney Gary Richardson -- a Republican who ran as an independent -- who got 14 percent of the vote.
Richardson...
Decades ago, most local and state races were pretty much decided in the Democratic primaries, although Oklahoma was still viewed as a conservative state and a swing state in presidential elections...
He's just not a good HC. Outside of the NC season with Cam Newton, Chizik coached teams are 3-16 against ranked opponents (3-9 at Auburn and 0-7 at ISU), with six straight losses to ranked opponents....
There is a contingent among Arkansas fans that insist Gruden to Fayetteville is a done deal and the powers that be are simply waiting on the right time to announce it. They say Jerry Jones arranged a...
I'm not trying to say one had it worse than the other, just pointing out the QB situation in Detroit was a clusterfrick too. You say Tavaris Jackson, I give you Rodney Peete. You throw out Gus...
Sanders was saddled with the same thing. During his time in Detroit, they had 10 different starters and only twice did the same QB who began the season as the starter finish the season as the...

RECRUITING:
At a quick glance, I found 15 former Crimson Tide players -- who played HS ball in Alabama on NFL rosters -- while there are six or seven former Sooners who played HS ball in Oklahoma...
I was talking to someone who used to report for Rivals, and he said the reason they're relying more on summer camps is because they're losing staff to other recruiting services. He claims ESPN and...
Finebaum covered the SEC his entire career until he dropped the writing gig to do full-time radio, is a Tennessee grad and his show is syndicated exclusively in SEC markets. Yes, he has wood for the...
Met Billy Sims when I was 8 or 9. My buddy's aunt had a couple classes with him (and I think she tutored him). He came to the house and my buddy and I were playing with Star Wars figures. Sims got...
I talked to a woman, Rebecca, who lived in Charleston, Ark. several years ago (she's since died). She and her husband had custody of their grandson who suffered brain damages from being shaken by his...
