Hoping to find a crew to volunteer with this weekend.
Guys, I just want to take the time to thank our resident meteorologists. I knew a week ahead of these storms, far earlier than the TV stations were predicting it, that we were in for it this week. ...
Good stuff. Lots of (ignorant) questions answered here:
I was thinking about that today. That needs to happen.
For those looking to volunteer, Crossroads Cathedral at 89th and Shields will need 500 people tomorrow to help start clean up efforts. I will post a link to the Facebook page when they have it ready...
Not going to lie. That's getting me. Hits way too close to home for me with two elementary aged kids.
That makes three of us that either live in the same, or neighboring housing additions.
You don't think planes will want to fly through 4-inch hail?
That's what it looks like!
So.....I'm flying OKC-DFW at 4:00, then DFW to Alexandria, LA tonight. Doesn't seem like I'm likely to get there on time, huh?
We got one last year and we used it for the first time today. It's a blessing!
I also live by Santa Fe. Everything good here.
I work from home, so I'm casual unless I'm meeting with prospects/clients. My company is an L.A. company. Casual is the word. Out at corporate, people are in jeans and a button down, untucked, all...
4-4 in the bottom of the 7th. 2 outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd for K-State.
You can't compare. Tulsa gets Friday night. If you are playing twice in Tulsa, you get smaller crowds Sat and Sun too. I was there Sat and it was a good crowd, especially for a 2:00 game. OKC got...
FYI guys, after running the projections, it's not as bad as I thought. There are quite a few teams we're ahead of in the pecking order, and in fact, we're closer to a No. 2 seed than we are being...
I'll acknowledge that there's a gap between Alabama and the rest of college football. The rest of the SEC is just like everyone else.
They won the TCU regional two years ago and were one win from Omaha.
And one of those losses was in a bowl game his first year, after OU hadn't been to a bowl game in years.
That's the only possible way they keep afloat. It has to be happening. That's sad as hell to me.
I stopped watching ESPN, unless one of my teams is playing on it, many years ago.
That ship sailed a few weeks ago.
RPI down to 55 this morning. Ouch. I tend to think OU is OUT without a series win at K-State.
I'm surprised the restaurant lobby hadn't weighed in on this. The news makes it sound like Oklahoma is in a hurry to make the change. Small government, right?
That's generous at this point. I'll run my projections on Thursday. I'll post the link if I remember. I'm not sure at this point if I'll have OU in or out. It's going to be close. Can't afford a...
As has been stated above, this is all about the $$$. Drunk driving has become big business, for the government and for attorneys. .08 is too low. There was no reason to lower it from .10 where it...
2369 first game
I might not get any work done today. Not that it's much different than any other day....
We allowed them to feel how it feels to be us, when we ****D them 11 of the last 14 years.
Only two? I'm at five or six. I kicked it for a while last year, but it came right back. I'm all out addicted.
Also, I found myself almost getting the shakes when my iPhone was getting worked...
Yeah, he said he's lost a ton of muscle m****.
They said last night he had a week in-between.
Cochran absolutely dominated that finale. Wasn't even a question.
I also have an addictive personality. Fortunately, it's not the alcohol that gets me (yet). It's the food. And the gambling. The food is killing me slowly. If the others in my life (my wife) knew...
I don't know. I mean, there's nothing in the rules that says you have to get out of the way. They are doing pretty well with it this year, in my opinion.
By the way, anyone who has been watching college baseball knows they've cracked down on leaning into pitches this year.
2 points to make:
1) We have two games to sell out to your one.
2) It was Mother's Day and they scheduled the game at 1:00 in the freaking afternoon.
It happens every year, but he's had this team in three supers and one CWS. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. Also, the AD isn't going to go after him unless he embarrasses the school.
This schedule sucks. I will be late to today's game and likely won't make tomorrow's. I haven't missed Bedlam games in years. I'm ready to make it home and home.
May as well forget the hosting idea at this point.
I absolutely despise this new schedule. I'll be late for tomorrow's game and might not make Sunday's because of it. It also ruins the party atmosphere around this series.
I'm ready for it to go...
LOL. Georgia Tech, yes 7-7 Georgia Tech, played in the title game because Miami and North Carolina were ineligible.
You're officially losing ground here.
Expain how A&M got BETTER while moving to the SEC. Different years, dude.
Probably depends on which SEC team. Again, why are we lumping them all together? They're not all the same. "An SEC team" is the entire problem with the message right now.
Or Arkansas. Ole Miss and Mississippi State would have been a battle. Against the 9th place team in the Big 12.
Again, I'm not saying the SEC isn't the best conference in the country right now. ...
So...they all played three games they could lose. That's the thing. Beyond those five schools, it got weak VERY quickly. And, no one (sans Bama and LSU) plays ANYONE in the non-conference, making...
Iowa State was better than four or five SEC teams last year - minimum.
And, by the way, you DID have to play K-State, OSU, Baylor, Texas, etc. In the SEC, you get to avoid two or three of the...
This poll is a GREAT example of how ESPN is controlling the SEC message. Where did Bob EVER say the Big 12 was better than the SEC? His point was that the SEC has a lot of bye weeks (which it does)...
