I think even if the latch failed the door would probably stay shut on garage shelters but shelters in the backyard with doors that open out it could be very bad.

This is a debate for another day but I think we'll start seeing more and more of this. OKC's urban sprawl grows and grows. Some of the areas hit recently were just farmland 10 years ago.

Just got back from dropping off a car load of water. Line was long and tons of volunteers helping to unload. They showed showed a tower view of the line and it's easily tripled since we've left.

The sirens went off in Moore as it was just crossing HE Bailey in Newcastle. We had a good 20+ min before it hit the main part of Moore. Hopefully that helped save lives.

Nope. Got stuck being the senior person left on the team. The building went on "lockdown". As it got closer I almost made the call for everyone to bug out but decided against it because of the number...

After getting home and getting to watch more footage, it came much closer than I thought. That 7/11 is about 1/2 mile or less straight south of my office.

When I left work an hour ago they were stopping all southbound traffic at shields and i240. With the cars in the road I wouldn't expected that to change for a few hours.
