I'm rock solid right now and don't plan on taking any other official visits except to OU. I was hoping to do some recruiting but the class is about full right now so there really aren't too many players out there left to bring in."

Which leads me list the remaining targets on the board:

    Marvin Wilson
    Jeffrey Okudah
    Anthony Hines
    Greg Rogers
Omar Manning or Joseph Lewis (whoever commits first)
K'Lavon Chaisson (if Gumbs didn't take his spot)
    another DL (Elijah Conliffe?)
    possibly another RB ?

We're looking at taking between 25-27 in this class amirite?

Do we have a rough idea of how many members of SS17 will be early enrollees?

Club's starting to get full boys, better get in before you're left outside telling that story about the time you ran into Emilio Estevez at a pay phone

I can not get enough of this class.

  14. #114
This is awesome. With only a few guys left on the board it let's the coaches and recruits all swarm in top national guys like Wilson.

  15. #115
I cant remember a year where everyone was as excited about a class....maybe the AD/Bomar/"Smoke" class.

The deal is that the 2018 class if off to a very nice start too.
Keep this going and it going to lead to some great times at OU.

This^^^^^^. Coaches can really focus on the remaining few they covet rather than scrambling in January to fill a class. I would also expect the staff to hit the 2018 class hard as well.
I don't think one really good class can win a natty but putting together consecutive years of well rounded top 10 classes builds talent from top to bottom as well as quality depth!! Need to keep this train Rollin'!!

Also in case anyone forgot--- Texas F-ING SUCKS

If we get just two of those I'll be happy, more than two and my head might explode.

Not trying to be Captain Obvious, but OU has to have a good year. Especially the first 5 games (vs. Houston, tOSU, TCU, and Texas)

    It's all about winning

It could be more......27-29 maybe. When OU took the commit of a 3 star punter, that tells me they are not worried about numbers.

I believe the plan also includes one OLineman out of Ealy, Zabie, and Filiaga.

The thing about the 18 class is that its poised to possibly be the #1 class in the country.

Brey Walker: # 8 player in nation, #1 in OK, #1 OT
Rising: #88 player in nation, #6 pro style QB, and I think he'll end up with his 5th star

    And hopefully:

Proctor: #28 in nation, #2 in OK, #2 safety in country, and probably will get 5th star

That is an awesome nucleus to start the class off with.

That's right. I forgot about the OL spot.

Take them all and sort it out later. We have enough attrition every year to work it out.

We have to win & it would really help if Texas rops some early too

I guess we'll see the actual results tomorrow when the new top 250 comes out. I'm still kind of dumbfounded that Calcaterra and Reagor did not crack the top 100 after their performances at The Opening.

So I guess Rivals isn't real big on Creed Humphrey for some reason. He's our lowest ranked guy, if you exclude the kicker

Hope SoonerSquad17 continues to recruit after commitment day (i.e. Kenny Stills and the Cali trio).

There seem to be several fun and engaging personalities in this class (Justin Broiles, Chris Robison, Levi Draper, CeeDee Lamb, and Trey Sermon come to mind) that you'd definitely want hosting recruits in the future. Also, as tech savvy as these kids are now days they'll be recruiting by default based on their social media feeds.

Thats just craziness. The footage i saw was he held his own against their #1. If that would have been a Bama recruit he would have been bumped to 5 or very high 4* that is fact

2 committed so far.. I doubt we'd sign a 3rd.. Could be wrong though..

OU would be wise to bring in two high school running backs this cycle because as it is with the two currently committed ,OU would only have 4 rbs on scholly next year assuming both Perine and Mixon leave. Plus there is no guarantee that Anderson ever plays again which would drop the number to 3 RBs on scholly.

Mixon isnt leaving (at least he shouldn't) because the RB class is loaded at a position the NFL draft doesn't value

Many players shouldn't leave, that doesn't stop them tho. Also as deep as this RB class will be, it's not like he would go undrafted.
