Schooner got vintage ou football (or hoops) stuff?

perusing the net i came across vintage game programs, like this:

fexas has some clever ones, like this one from the 1957 ou-fexas game. several more are out there like that one ... and worse! a bunch of teams used animated program covers that seem pretty racy today.

i love the newspaper caption of this li'l red photo.

not ours, but i also like this 1946 'war years' program.

i have my dad's leather helmet from elementary school. it's a hutch. i also have greg pruitt's rookie card. not my original one though. alas...

At the Anaheim regional last year I had Buddy Hield sign my Wayman Tisdale OU basketball tee shirt.
Also a OU-Army FB tickdt stub from the late 50s.

I had most all games of OU wins as far back as 1982 saved on VHS. Also had most all the Sooner Illustrated magazines. Just in the past 2 years I gave away about all of it and threw out what others didn't want. Can't keep the stuff forever and just never did mess with any of it. I went through some of the tapes and burned them to dvd and later got rid of those due to never watching them. Anymore with the internet there are all kinds of games available if I get bored.

That would be like having Baker Mayfield sign your Lee Roy Selmon shirt.

reminds me of a girlfriend who stumbled upon a couple of my game tapes. she said she was afraid she would open a closet door one day and find it full of game film. B^)

i only have two actual vhs tapes left, both movies: blue velvet and the holy grail.

Reminds me I have half a recording of the 06 Oregon game somewhere. Some moron in my household turned off the vcr at half when we left. I thanked them later.

I have a post card signed by Bud Wilkinson during his college playing days. Probably my favorite item.

    Ah so, mutha fucka.

I am connected to the Royal family through some people at both OU and UT. After he died I got his 1950 name engraved Sugar Bowl watch. I have his 1950 OU yearbook. I also have a Darrell Royal autographed OU football mini helmet. Always good to shock a Longhorn.

And to add insult to injury for Longhorns, I have a large frame that includes an autograph of him standing on the sidelines in his Texas coaching jacket as well as an autographed Texas football coaching jacket that he wore in the NC of 1969. I tell the Longhorns that I hang it up upside down in my house (in reality it is in my extra room tilted up against the wall).

I received these as a gift from someone about a year ago. Really cool to look through.

While living in Norman in 1979, I got to meet former OU football coach Dewey "Snorter" Luster at a restaurant where he was eating with some of his buddies. I never really heard much about him, but it was a fun thing. He coached OU from 1941-1945, right before Jim Tatum and Bud Wilkinson were hired.
    His record was 27-18-3.

Great story. I think it would be a cool thing to meet anybody named "Snooter", much less a former OU player and Coach.

"Snorter", but Snooter gets the point across.

BTW, if I remember right, his friends called him Snorter instead of Dewey.

In 1957 "Snorter" I believe was in charge of intramural sports. OU didn't just cut him loose but kept him on the payroll.

I'm lucky to have accidentally met Coach Luster in 1979. He died the next year:
