If I'm not mistaken, Nebraska trademarked, "Go Big Red," years back. Many used to call OU, Big Red, and I still say it occasionally, whether Nebraska trademarked it or not! OUr Red is bigger than their Red!

Remember when Cecil Samara used to roam the sideline with his bullhorn yelling "roll on Big Red, roll on!"?

The Whorns, Dio, and Coven all did it before Gene, but I admire Gene for his desire to get money out of everything.

I hope he gets it. Would be good to make people pay that do something horrible. That's why we have laws. We are not savages.

Unlike most on this board, I'm actually a KISS fan. That being said, I think this is pretty silly. Gene would trademark air if he could. He's a brilliant businessman but this is too much.

Not exactly the same hand signal. Simmons has the thumb perpendicular to the palm where the horns fold the thumb into the palm.

Was at Disney World once, on the boat shuttle to the tram station. My daughter was about 8 and in front of us were two guys about 60 each and their wives. They were wearing Texsa gear and had the typical "we're Texsa" old boy looks on their faces.

My daughter, as she has been well trained, looked at me and said "dad, Texsa sucks".

These arrogant old boys heard what she said and gave us the horns down sign and said "you know a bull's doin' with he does this? He'd gettin' ready to charge."

I said, "how do you know the bull is not just thinking "Texsa sucks"?

They didn't talk to us anymore.

It's obvious your parenting skills are to be applauded my good man. Your daughter was definitely brought up right!

In other news, OU has filed to trademark the name "Big 12 champions" .. but a US registration spokesperson has said that the motion is "redundant" and "there have been only few, isolated instances where the name has been disputed"

Butch Jones doesn't need to Trademark "Champions of Life" because nobody else would be dumb enough to use it.

Report: USC locking down ‘Spurs Up’

Since Will Muschamp arrived as the head coach of South Carolina football, “Spurs Up,” has become a trademark of his program. Now his program is reportedly trademarking it.

That hand signal goes back as far as the Roman Empire and whether up or down, it has always meant, "Texas sucks!". Those dumb ass Texas fans have been signaling that "Texas sucks!" for decades and they don't even know it.

Dafuq is wrong with these people? That hand sign is possibly 3,500 years old.
