I tried Glenmorangie over at a friends on NYE. I wasn't too terribly impressed. I prefer Glenlivet or Glenfiddich over it. I'll give it another shot but flavor seemed a little too harsh.

Looks interesting. I picked up a bottle of TX Blended whisky, distilled in Fort Worth over New Years when I was in Austin, I haven't tried it yet, but I wanted to support fellow Texans. I was going to get a bottle of Garrison Brothers Bourbon, distilled in Hye, Tx, but I didn't want to pack an $85 bottle of bourbon in a checked airline bag. I will pick some up in February, when I drive down to Granbury.

I think the Original is a good intro to Scotch, it is the biggest seller in Scotland. Stay away from Islays if you dont like Glenmorangie.

There's a problem with Macanudo? Perhaps we need a cigar thread. I freely admit I am not completely conversant about the finer points of cigars.

Did this ever happen? I could not find it if there was one.

Fantastic value, I think better than MacAllan 12 for those who are big fans of the more floral/smooth type scotches. Nothing particularly amazing, but for under $50, it's hard to beat.
