Just arrive at Midlothian (IL) Bremen for RB David Smith's announcement between West Virginia & Oklahoma. I like the Sooners.
Ehh his going to Oklahoma Obvi
We finally get a big back not a Scat back. 6'1 190 pounds, playing weight in college will probably be around 220-225. He has that kind of frame imo
nice highlights, dont care for the high stepping before the endzone, saw he got flagged once for it, but he is a high schooler.lol
He looks so-so against little **** high-school kids...
We're going to end up with Smith and Damien Williams i think and Im cool with that. We arent chasing small blazers anymore

Boomer!
I posted this elsewhere, but I'll add it here:
Quick Scouting on David Smith
To pre-empt the tl;dr: Imagine Kejuan Jones if he was 6'1", 200 and was about 1/10th of a second faster. That's David Smith in a nutshell.
-Change of direction isn't spectacular, and he's definitely not going to get away with a lot of his moves at the D1 level
-Has the type of body that looks like it could carry another 20 pounds of muscle with ease and not lose speed
-Acceleration is just okay, top speed is good though
-Great hands - Catches the ball away from his body and looks it in consistently
-Runs surprisingly sharp routes from the slot
-Has the balance and center of gravity of a high 4* RB
-Very powerful lower body
-Level of competition is definitely questionable

Some guys on soonerscoop already discussing possibly moving him to safety at some point.
What level of football is playing in that highlight vid? Looks like a bunch of middle schoolers...
I don't mind having the smaller backs if they can hit the holes like QG (MJD and Ray Rice in pro's). I forget how good QG was catching passes but I just remember how everyone talked about how strong he was. And damn, one of the nicest guys you'll meet too.

Great pickup. how many schips does OU have left for this year? What positions does it look like we are allocating them to?

4-5 more IMO.
1 more RB, 1 more WR, 2 more DB's and hopefully 1 more olineman.
Great pick up and will be great addition to our offense. I know Stoops loves the bigger guys with the rock.
Why does he run 20 yards passed the end zone every time?
Agholor is not a RB. He is being recruited by Jay Norvell, so I guess that tells you where they want him to play.
The Juco Damien Williams looks really really good. Don't know how much interest he has in Oklahoma, but I really like him as a player.
The guy gave his opinion of the recruit. What the hell is wrong with that? A ton of people have mentioned that they are not wowed by his highlight video. Your only role on this board seems to be critical of people that make even the slightest perceived derogatory comment about any aspect of OU football. Do you have any opinion about this athlete other than "If Bob Stoops offered him he must be great because Bob knows more than everybody else"???
He looks like a chain mover and that is what we are needing desperately right now. Someone to get those tough yards in the red zone or to get a couple of first downs to run out the clock in the 4th quarter.
Was this the kid that came to the OU vs KSU bball game saturday with Stoops and Gundy?
Looks like a solid player
