So a bit of a shocker but St. Edward TE Sam Grant has picked Oklahoma, not Michigan, and will sign his LOI with the Sooners Wed.

Surely out of all the TE's we're getting this year I think it's safe to say one of them will pan out to be "greshman-like." Hopefully they all stay healthy and contribute. I've always been a fan of getting the TE and FB involved
Wow totally unexpected, thought he was a Michigan lock
I will even take another Trent Smith!

I DON'T KNOW WHO THIS IS BUT IT SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY EXCITING DEVELOPMENT!
Listed at 6'6" runs like he's 7'6"... good blocking though.![]()

HOW MANY TIGHTENDS DO WE NEED? ISN'T THAT LIKE THREE?
He's not much of a receiver; He'll join the OL by 2013 which isn't a bad think I guess.

Green and Harlow's futures are at OL
whoopidy do.... I was hoping for the florida tight end. He was a rodriquez/gresham like as they come. Oh well, glad he wants to play for the crimson and cream.
Harlow just started running from his back surgery last week. Kid might not have a future in football, you have to prepare for such cases
I wouldn't write him off as a tight end. A quality blocker to seal the edge is invaluable to a championship running game.

This is the largest tight end cl**** in the history of college football.
That said, I still think we should take the USF kid if he wants to come here.
Sealing and dominating the edge is the strategic answer to having big, p**** blocking linemen who don't pull often (but we just discovered that shead can pull like a big lead DH!) and still having a hyper productive running/power game. That was the key to our '08 offense of the millennium (duke could and did pull often to compliment an uber athletic RT in trent williams), and its production of 2.5 1k yard rushers. We were able to be modular and balanced - you never knew what you were going to get, based on the TE's in our formation....although you did know that you most likely were going to get ****d some how... TE's with complimenterary skill sets are THE deus ex machina to an unstoppable offense. Great get on our part!
Most of you are D. Cowboy fans and Jason Whitten is the most unathletic TE in the history of TE's in the aspect that the dude runs what a 6 flat 40 and has a 3" vertical, but he makes plays because he's a smart player.

Could Grant get any playing time in 2012?
Looks like an OT to me.
