Great news. Now get Starks and call it a day at RB for 2014. Can cale help recruit OL/DL? Bob needs to give Cale some of his salary.

Interview says he's still looking at and "heavily interested" in Texas and LSU. Uh...so are you "committed" or not, Devon?!?! You sound like you're simply keeping OU as a place holder and your options open depending on how things go. That's not a commitment. Make up your mind.

Devon is the same way, since my first time observing the kid I felt that physically he was just on another level when compared to kids around him. As a sophomore last year he looked like a senior physically, very thick base with the ability (and desire) to run through people.
It is my understanding AD has a picture of Devon Thomas in his dining room .

I went to a few of BA's games this year, one or two of them he played in. The final home game I saw, it sure seemed to me he has the size and speed to be a good college back. He made some good cuts. If he can stay out of trouble and keeps his commitment to OU he could make an impact. Of course he still has a senior year to play.

Wow! I wonder if his commitment was ever accepted after the off the field issues. Very strange to commit then decommit so quickly.

According to him at least, the OU coaches were disappointed. Might dispel the pulled offer thing, but again that's according to him, and obviously coaches can't comment.

From owassosooner on the scout board
".... But his offer was pulled. Happened a couple of days ago according to a friend on the BA staff.
Doesn't mean we're done with him though, could always offer again if he straighten up."

So it kind of sounds like the kid is trouble. Don't want to p**** judgement, but if OU is pulling their offer at this point it seems like there would be some issues there.

I'm surprised we have that much time and effort for a guy a year away or more, given the mess that faces us at this point in time.

Recruiting is a 2-3 year game any more. If you're not on top of a kid by the time he ends his SO. yr it will put you behind the 8 ball later on.

Yeah, not too surprised about this development. OU yanked his offer due to the off the field issues and judging by what I have read on some of the other sites, the coaches are really putting an extra emphasis on character.

Yes, and Gundy is done for this year, so he's already moved onto next year.

Some people on this board (not you, DSS) complain about anything and everything.

This can only help with Starks and now Gundy can focus on Starks 100%. Plenty of depth at RB.

I honestly don't. The word from BA is that OU pulled his scholarship. So unless OU gets back involved, osu can have him.
