bacon, over easy huevos, and english muffins.
I've eaten there twice. Got rugged sick both times. The last time I was there there was a guy drinking a large schooner of Bud and it had several raw oysters floating in it. It looked like something out of Temple of Doom.
Back on topic, I made tacos. Chicken, poblanos, jalapeños, garlic and topped with avocado. Needed salsa, but amazing nonetheless.

Bacon wrapped tenderloins. The bacon was amazing after smoking. Actually did this pretty quick, 300 degrees for around 3.5 hours. Came out awesome.

Pepperoni Grill. It seems they've ceased with the cheap ****embly line food they'd gone to for awhile--we had a great meal.

Mesquite smoked bone in strip roast, delicious!
I hadn't seen this cut in my local grocery store, cooked up nicely.
We also smoked a pork loin and some chicken ****s. If we get the smoker fired up we fill it.
Olive Garden. Had the chicken and gnocchi soup.

in VN, it's called lau (hot pot), many different variations to this dish. it's normally served as a soup on a burner where you boil the soup base and add fresh ingrediants (usually seafood)and serve with vermicelli like noodles. it can be quite ****ey (thai versions) but always delicious![]()

Maria dragged me to a potluck for all the sunday school instructors at her church. And she asked me to fix the dish we were taking -- the roasted root vegetables I fixed for Christmas.
Reluctantly, i agreed to do it.
I tweaked the execution, deciding to roast the carrots 10 minutes before adding the rest: brussel sprouts, red onion, yams, and sweet potatoes (w/olive oil, salt, pepper). Came out great.
But it was even better than I expected. When all the hot dishes were set on the tables, they were all high carb and meat: spaghetti w/meat sauce, lasagne, mac & cheese, meat stuffed ravioli, sausage & beans, fried chicken, hot chicken wings, panko breaded chicken, and roast beef.
And the other long table was covered with a gazillion desserts: chocolate cake, cheese cake, chocolate pie, bundt cake, chocolate cheese cake, etc etc etc.
Honestly, I looked at all of it and started losing my appetite.
Where were the ****ing real vegetables???? Just my dish*. It was a hit. Many dishes were barely touched but my dish was all gone, and I made a lot.
*Ok, there was one tossed salad dish and a jello w/ fruit dish, if you want to count them.
Chicken fried rice. Was the best fried rice ive ever made.
sliced chicken **** marinated in sesame oil and soy sauce. cooked in minced garlic. cold, steamed jasmine rice, fried in vegetable oil and sesame oil with some scallions, peas and eggs. tossed together, and topped with chopped basil, cilantro and a ton of sriracha. delicious.
