I crock potted a 2lb pork loin today from about 8 to 5. Bottle of Modelo and a bottle of Head Country - nothing else, not even salt or pepper. It was perfect. Had a little bit tonight with some sweet potato fries and will shred the rest.

    Bumping this thread....

We went to a kick ass hole in the wall Foodie restaurant we stumbled upon while flipping through Yelp in the Guitar Center parking lot Tuesday.

Fork in the Road - Arlington, TX.

Primarily a lunch type menu with some eclectic kicks tossed in here and there. Rotating specials, desserts, soups, etc. What does stick on their menu is fantastic though. This place has like seven tables and is off the street in a middle class neighborhood. It's got a kick ass decor though. They put a ton of heart and soul into this place.

They call this Crackaroni. It lives up to its name. Hands down the best mac n cheese I've ever had. Don't leave this place without trying it. We made it an appetizer and skipped the fries with our meal. It's a three cheese truffled mac. Holy cow....

My wife got the Glazed Goat burger they had as a special. Goat cheese with balsamic reduction. Their burgers are insanely tasty. By themselves, they'd knock your socks off. The fact they dress them up at all is just icing on the cake. They had another burger there that won a blind taste test contest for the metroplex.

This is a menu staple. It's called The Gorilla Biscuit. Grilled ham, corned beef and salami with chipotle mayo wrapped in a flour tortilla. Pretty tasty stuff. Can't go wrong here.

Didn't try any desserts because the macaroni filled us up... they had a special creme brûlée (my iPhone put all that special stuff on there... not me...) that day.

Dukkah! I'm going to regret telling you that's what I used on the pork loin, but that's what it was. It's Egyptian. Really nice blend of flavors with the medallions. Yes, it's Dukkah.

I initially read that as Pastor Burrito. He would have a fantastic church.

New Find! Jicama Tortillas! Sauteed some shrimp, added some cole slaw, fresh pico de gallo, some cilantro and lemon.... outstanding and healthy. Not to mention the crunch factor.

Cajun in the Big Easy. Got the family with me so simple was the key. Went to Chef Ron's.

    Crab cakes

    Gator

    Fried green tomatoes

Crawfish etouffee, jambalaya and bayou scampi. Washed down with an Abita Turbo Dog.

It was our daughters 18th birthday so she got a Chantilly King Cake
