Unfortunate for you since you live so close to the Gulf. When I lived in Galveston I used to get a kick out of watching the shrimp boats come in with all the seagulls flocking around them.

Omg, I looooove shrimp. There is seriously not a lot I wouldn't do for it. I have family in Ft Walton Beach & they ship it to me overnight on dry ice. They're my favorites. (and OU alums!)

I had some sirloin pork loins. I actually marinated them in this sweet vadalia onion dressing that we had in the fridge. It was pretty good, a little sweet, but I balanced it out with lots of pepper, paprika and garlic. Then had a little mashed taters and some green beans. I didn't miss the steak.. ;-)

My wife made a quiche. Yes, a quiche. It had bacon, onions, and Swiss cheese in it. I once heard that real men dont eat quiche, I went ahead and ate anyways. Wasnt bad, wasnt great. The ham and cheese sandwich that I made myself an hour later was better.

Tomorrow I'm grilling chops and ribeyes, looking forward to that.

I've been to a couple of company Christmas dinners at Mickey Mantle's in Bricktown where they served a jumbo shrimp appetizer. The shrimp is coated in something that looked and tasted like some kind of gravy, but I'm not exactly sure what it was. It was delicious. I'm not sure if it is on their regular menu.

What is the Boom Boom sauce? I'm addicted to the creamy jalapeno but I'd like to try a few others.

It's like a ****y queso type sauce. Good stuff. But, yeah the creamy jalapeno is tasty, too. Reminds me of the white sauce at Hamelins in Muskogee.
