Not a return, but a big pop for CM Punk. This was made better by the pure hate Cena gets (which is only topped by the ECW crowd in 06.)

Thoughts on tonight's show:
CM Punk and Jericho are by far my favorite two in the company, and they put on a solid match tonight. That is something we don't see very often of Raw anymore.
Ending the show on Cena is tired and predictable, thankfully they didn't completely crush the Shield tonight. The Shield is one of the few things going right for the WWE right now and making them weak for the all mighty Cena would be a massive mistake.
Cut Santino now, he is awful.
Heyman is still awesome.
The show was better than last week, but still has a long ways to go before it is anywhere near good.

Dear god, how did I forget the original ECW intros. Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, and RVD had great intro music.
****ing Bruno Sammartino. Never thought I'd see it. They're adding Bob Backland and Sammartino to the HOF. Now they just need to get Mach and the Warrior in there.

Still the best debut of all time. What makes it even better is the fact that WCW thought he would never be anyone. So you know they were watching and were pissed when they heard the pop when Jericho flashed on the titantron.
Speaking of companies **** up with Jericho, how much do you think they regret changing this

Jericho in his old mid-card WCW days was absolutely amazing. His promos were incredible. "Gene Mean", "Stinko Malenko", "Man of 1,004 Holds", "Tony Schee-uh-vone"...so much great stuff.

God I loved the 1004 list, outside of the armbars the gredunza was the best part. I always enjoyed the conspiracy victim, Ralphus, and Greenberg stuff also. I also love the fact that Jericho actually embarrassed Goldberg in the locker room.

I've always wondered why he switched... I guess there's more "drama" with the boston crab in that you can walk to the ropes or flip him over?
From what I heard it is a combination of issues putting it on the taller guys and also some of the guys complain that it hurts.

That Swagger promo was interesting. Looks like maybe they're gonna give him some sort of far right wing radical gimmick? Color me intrigued.
Yeah, I DVR'd it and I'm currently watching the Swagger promo. This could either go over very well, or could crash and burn in 3-4 weeks. It'll be interesting to see where they take this.
At least they're doing something different with him, IF they follow through on it. As we all know when it comes to the WWE that's a big "if". Three weeks from now he could have a new gimmick as a golf caddy.
Average show tonight
Pros:
Jericho vs Daniel Bryan
The Shield Promo- They said everything the adult fans have been thinking about Cena for years.
The Swagger promo-They made Jack Swagger interesting, which I thought was almost impossible.
Heyman promo
AJ is still hot
Cons:
Cena/Ryback/Sheamus vs 3MB- What was the point in that squash match? If this was a heel group it might be interesting, but a face group this over powered is awful.
Cena/Ryback/Sheamus taking care of the Shield with little to no effort.
Brodus Clay and Tensai- No, just no
Fandango- This poor guy's career is already over and he hasn't even wrestled yet.
The Rock- The fact that we have to be grateful the WWE champion shows up on a WWE show is just sad.
Commercials during good matches
Perhaps I've outgrown the Rock or he's just terrible as a face but he's pretty damn boring these days.
Bring back Hollywood Rock.

He's awful now. His promos are more tired and boring than Cena's are.
Looks like Wrestlemania 30 will be at New Orleans in the Superdome.
