The best part about this kid is that he'll give his left nut for OU. This kid truly wants to be a SOONER more than anything else. Let's hope this works out!

Who was the last #1 state prospect we didn't get? Who was the last #1 state prospect that stayed in state that we didn't get?
This makes me happy.
Pretty sure Josh Turner was the number 1 player in the state his senior year. He went to Texas. I'm thinking the other kid from East Central who also went to Texas a couple years ago was the #1 player.
I think DeMarco Cobbs was #1 in the state in 2010. Went to Texas.

Ward said he appreciates the interest, but his recruitment is over.
"No more visits necessary," Ward said. "I'm done. I'm going to OU. I'm a Sooner. It's great to know my future is secure at such a great place like OU."
Ward has combined for 169 tackles and 20 sacks in the last two seasons.

this kid is a beast and he'll only get better! Can't wait!
Looking at the highlight videos the kid apparently has a death grip like Darth Vader with all the jersey tackles. Very few of those tackles were of the "wrap-up" variety. Of course, hard to "form" tackle when you are chasing after a guy.
Josh Turner (Millwood), DeMarco Cobbs (Tulsa EC), Gerald Jones (Millwood) and Robert Meachem (Booker T Wash) are the most recent I can think of...
We just need Manning to jump onboard now!
In those film clips Ward looks quicker than the offensive backs on the other teams.
Can't imagine what nightmares the offensive lineman who sets up opposite him during a game must have before the game. Nobody regardless of size seemed to be able to block him at all.
