    East Central standout receiver Stanvon Taylor has been named Gatorade state football player of the year.


    The 5-foot-10, 170-pound University of Oklahoma commit has been the leading player in the No. 1 Cards’ drive to the Cl**** 5A championship game, scoring a team-high 19 touchdowns this season.East Central plays Carl Albert in the 5A final, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
