Romney Will Win With Relative Ease

Many people are severely underestimating or are unaware(mainly due to a biased media) of just how much dislike/hate there is for Obama and not just among Conservatives but Independents as well and we will end up seeing a larger than expected turnout of not necessarily Romney voters but anti-Obama voters. The fact that ACORN(and groups like them) will not be allowed to bus a bunch of corpses to voting booths will help as well. One thing people need to take note of is that when they look at Romney remember that he certainly is not the most conservative Republican candidate but he was the candidate who was viewed as having the best odds of beating Obama and even though most republicans most likely agreed on more issues with one of the other candidates they were willing to put that aside because they are absolutely desperate to throw Obama's **** out on the street as he is surely the worst President in my lifetime and is in the running for all-time "honors".

    Mitt Romney wins going away.

I agree, as of now Romney should win easily. But, things can always change in national politics pretty quick, but I doubt enough to alter this election. If there was a great candidate (Romney, at this point, is not) it could be a landslide. All leading indications have this currently as a close race, which is a disaster for Obama given the primary isn't even technically over.

The only thing which would allow Obama to win is ignorance. I saw a post on this board and there is actually a person who thinks we don't have a progressive tax system. Mind-boggling, and scary.

If Obama wins, that means things have changed. The statement Romney should win is supported the information at hand at this point. If that information changes, then it changes, but "bumping" a thread won't be necessary, he's making a prediction based on CURRENT information.

I don't know anyone other than PBS that's excited about Romney so that worries me. But I think people are excited about ousting Obama so maybe that will make up for the lackluster nominee.

I already have a bet with someone for $100. I have Romney.

The fact that Romney is ahead now after just coming out of a brutal primary tells me that Obama is in deep ****. I think Romney wins by 5 or 6%

That is going to be a good thing. He has very low expectations.

I'm still pessimistic about Romney winning, but if he can withstand the media going all in for Obama, and the negative campaign that Obama's going to throw at him, then perhaps there's a chance.

People vote with their pocketbook. The media can't change that fact.

You just keep posting this crap, but that's just your opinion. Like it or not, Romney has a pretty good chance of beating Obama, because people are tired of what we've been seeing for the last 4 years, and they want something new.

It's also just the OP's opinion that Romney will win going away. I love the fact that the OP can apparently make a prediction without the possibility of being wrong, btw. If Obama wins then he wasn't really wrong, things just "changed". My kind of prediction.

To be quite honest I really don't give a **** who wins. But I will say that I fear for the mental well being of some of you if Obama does win. Perhaps you should try to prepare yourselves at least a little for the possibility that he does get re-elected.

This reminds me of what every single democrat was saying around this time in 2004.

Did I say that? No. I said that you keep saying that Romney doesn't have a chance. That's not true. Romney actually does have a chance.

If Romney has a slogan like "A chicken in every pot and a car elevator in every garage"............

    He wins easily.

I doubt it would be enough to offset "if I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon" particularly if he adds in "there are no stray dogs in my neighborhood".

I think Romney could win the election.
I will predict that if he does we could very easily be worse off 4 years later than we are now. Not worse off than we would be with 4 more years of Obama but worse off than we are right now.
Look what 8 years of W Bush did to us. Patriot Act. Two wars and the beginning of the Great Recession. Look what just 4 years of Obama has done. Obama care, RECORD deficits and appeasement of our enemies around the world.
Romney has no plans to reduce government or people's dependence on it. The people most dependent on government spending since 2008 have been Wall St. Think about it.

The only way Obama wins is if they find some major scandal on Romney or if the democratic machine cheats and commits enough voter fraud in some the close key swing states.

Over 50% of the population now either relies on the Government or doesn't pay taxes. Never underestimate the parasitic voting bloc.

    That's true
I would only add, never underestimate the power of the media. If they support Obama like they did against McCain/Palin, Obama has it in the bag. The effectiveness of the media in molding opinion amazes me.

If Romney runs similar to how he had his speech tonight, I don't see Obama beating him unless he changes his tune from one of attacking everyone to a more positive message. Obama 4 years ago was running on a positive message. That's really what won him the election. He didn't really demonize the other side like he has since winning the election. Romney tonight had a real positive message and a focused message. We'll see if Romney continues running that way.

There's not a difference between MSNBC, CNN, and Fox they are all trash frankly. I was watching the speech not what some analysts said. But you can't win if you keep going with the message Obama's been running on which is a negative attack campaign unless the other candidate has a weak campaign with no central or positive message. If Romney has more speeches and runs like he did tonight he'll win. Not sure he'll be any different from Obama as a president but he'll win in November. Obama won last time because he ran a very positive and uplifting campaign. He's not running that way this time.

We'll see if Romney stays on message and goes more on the uplifting route like Obama did 4 years ago. Obama for all his campaign promises of being post-partisanship ended up being just the opposite. Despite not having that many differences in the two parties we see more partisanship today.

Romney tonight had a real positive message and a focused message. We'll see if Romney continues running that way.
Obama had a 2 pronged attack. "hope and change" and McCain is a bush third term. Obama wasn't all positive.

Obama has been killing the economy in part because he does not promote a positive message. A lot of spending is psychological. He began his term by adding all sorts of uncertainty and followed it up with piss poor leadership and negativism.

Romney needs to appeal to the intellect of the moderate voters and provide a positive message because Obama simply doesn't provide any hope for this country.
