I want Toby but he wont be able to play next year. so it might be in our best interests to move on and pursue a healthy juco
The only reason you sign a Juco is for immediate help. With a high school player, he'll almost always need a year or more in the weight room and with proper nutrition management just to get to D1 shape. With a Juco, you run the risk of early departure to the NFL after a good year. Toby Johnson is elite, but a torn ACL on a Juco is a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.
No idea if this is football related, cant find anything. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/OUA36

"It's gonna be a long day today i have 3 home visits back to back Miss State,UGA and OU"
I posted this in the thoughts and rants thread a couple of hours ago, I was wondering who the coaches were going to see. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/OUA37
so if we get him, when would he come here? NEXT December?
He recently tore his ACL, so most likely he will not be able play next season.
I give us a 10% chance here. He's from Georgia and UGA seems to be the team to beat. Our only hope imo is that one of his online math classes won't be able to transfer to the SEC. That's just a rumor though.
Can we not recruit a DT that can graduate from a juco in 2 years?????

hell ya I made it too. Recruiting news has been less than stellar lately it seems.
the only way he ends up in Norman is if the route to the SEC is too academically challenging.
Since he has spring and summer to get to Athens by August, I don't see that being an issue.
He's not committing to OU because Section31 said that kids want to go to schools in or near big cities and/or near beaches.
OU did an in home visit with him last night.
So is this dude a NT? If we switch to a 3-4 we need a damn nose tackle.
Toby Johnson @Future020113SEC
everybody thinks they know where i'm going but ima shock the world come Feb 12th lol
i think with a twitter name future2013sec he ain't leaving the south
My thoughts exactly VRO.
Surprising everybody means surprising no one.

According to @JakeRoweRivals #Sooners DT target Toby Johnson is no longer in #UGA's plans. Dawgs thought to be leading. #OU w/ real chance?
Good news for OU

He stated this week that he's delaying his decision to make a visit to Miss St. Sounds like he really wants to play in SEC.
Isn't Toby busted up and may not be a factor in '13?
The tipping point in getting Toby Johnson has always been academics. If Toby was going to be unable to p**** the cl**** to get into the SEC
then OU or NU were his likely destinations.
I figured with the extra semester that the SEC route was a lock. Maybe it isn't.
What time of the year did he tear his knee up and when might he be back? From what I saw of his film it looked like a pretty good reason Mikey wants to go to a 3-4. Having Phillips and him at 3-4 DE's and Russell in the middle has some potential.
He got hurt in the semis against C-Ville, early November.
