Rivals 4 Star
This guy looks like a mountain. Is that a kindergarten kid he's blocking?
Is he 6'8 or 6'6? His Rivals page says 6'6. Either way, the dude is a monster. Do want.
We're getting one of his visits. No date yet. Im going to guess Notre Dame
@Cochran_Aaron
OKLAHOMA THIS WEEKEND. Lets beat McNair first though.
Visiting for Baylor. Roll out the redcarpet. We need him bad
usasooner,
Cochran's brother is a redshirt freshman OG at Cal 6-3, 320. Don't suppose with Tedford being let go that OU can perhaps
swing a 2 for 1 deal here??
We should sure as hell try for one.
Here's a link to a bit of info on Matt Cochran: http://www.calbears.com/sports/m-foo...an_matt00.html
I would not mind that all Atlant****
OU, Arizona, Cal and Nebraska are the Top 4 in no order. Still hoping to bring his mom out here in January for a visit
we need to move this big guy to DT NOSE TACKLE
A NOSE TACKLE plays in a 3-4....which we don't run....BUT, maybe we should with our lack of Dlinemen, and an over emphasis on hybrid DBs. Many of those DB's could be OLB's. But I know that teams don't just change over at the drop of a hat, but it could be cool. Way more blitz packages.
Before this year, we usually played 2 DTs with one lining up on the center's shoulder (1-technique) and the other, called the 3-technique, on the guard's outside shoulder. So the 1 is nearly a NG (who lines up nose to nose with the center).
This year we've mostly played LT and RT, with both tackles lining up nose to nose with the guards (2-technique).
More here: http://www.dawgsbynature.com/2011/4/...five-technique
Isn't an olb in a 3-4 a Demarcus Ware type? LOL our dbs wouldn't be nowhere near the height or weight to fill this role.
We would need an olb at 260# plus to play in the 3-4. I.E Nick Perry with my packers...
"Cal, Arizona, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Fresno State Are top 5 in no order . May take a trip to Washington.
His tightest bond at the moment is to the coaching staff at Oklahoma. Cochran doesn't name the Sooners as his outright leader "I like Coach Kittle a lot," Cochran said. "He calls a lot and he's real with me. I could see him being my coach for the next five years. My parents like him, too.

When is he suppose to announce?
He said recently he was delaying his decision until he feels comfortable. So who really knows?

Visiting Cal this weekend. Wonder if he'll click with the new staff they have.
Would he not make an awesome NT?
That's interesting for certain. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. You do need a very strong NG if you're play a 3-4, and I wonder if we have that kind of player or two.
An interesting comment was from Troy Aikman in the SF-GB game. He said about GB's D, that you don't want to play man-to-man coverage against a strong running QB, b/c your DBs will have their backs to the QB when he takes off running.
Needless to say, big, big loss for OU.
