Great news. Great kid, great player, great family, hopefully soon to be great Sooner!!!!!
Named my first born after his father
Watched the videos. His manerisms and upright running style remind me a lot of Brandon Jones.
DAAAYUUM, That kid is fast!
I wonder what type of jaw configuration we're looking at here? How does Sterling's jaw alignment stack up against Darryl and Derrick's?Originally Posted by Soonerp
A strong one. Like he would bite the fingers off a smart**** internet poster. :lol:Originally Posted by ElGuapoSooner
Was this originally a Dale Rich or Ooner observation? I can't remember. I want to say Ooner threw this out there with Smoke Patterson and that's where it all started.Originally Posted by Soonerp
What are OU's chances?? I would think pretty good, but does anybody have any good information about him?
This would be a nice 3rd commit. Making in-roads in-state is always a good sign.
Looks just like Broyles at Norman high 5 years ago. Hope like hell he comes on down.

Heritage Hall's Sterling Shepard: Scholarship offer from OU ‘means a lot'
Heritage Hall's Sterling Shepard has also received offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Kansas State. He said he plans on attending the Junior Days at Notre Dame and Clemson in the upcoming weeks.

Heritage Hall junior wide receiver Sterling Shepard was already having a nice birthday Thursday afternoon when he got the best gift yet.
The Chargers star was offered a scholarship by the University of Oklahoma. Shepard now has five offers.
But the Sooners' invitation means a little bit more, obviously, because of the Shepard family connection to OU.
Shepard's father, Derrick, was a star wide receiver for the Sooners and played in the NFL. His uncles, Woodie and Darrell, also played football for OU.
“Oh yeah, it's great to have gotten this offer,” Shepard told The Oklahoman on Thursday. “OU has been like my second family. It definitely means a lot.”
Despite the offer, it won't accelerate his thought process. Shepard has said in the past that he plans on being patient before making his commitment.
Shepard has also received offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Kansas State. He said he plans on attending the Junior Days at Notre Dame and Clemson in the upcoming weeks.
“I've missed out on some Junior Days because of the weather and school stuff, but I definitely hope to get out to more of them,” Shepard said.
Shepard was a break out star this year for Heritage Hall. After a concussion-filled sophomore year, Shepard made some changes and stayed healthy as a junior.
When star running back Barry J. Sanders went down with a foot injury, coach Andy Bogert ran the same type of offense with Shepard as the team had run with former Heritage Hall star and current New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker.
Shepard was an all-around threat in helping the Chargers win the 2010 state championship. Most schools view him as a wide receiver though he is also receiving attention as a defensive back.
Not long after OU offered, Notre Dame heard, so now they want to talk him again today. My source says he is solid on OU.
Figures, from reading the article in The Oklahoman it sounds like he plans on attending ND's junior day.....Originally Posted by SnakeDoctor

Looks like a Ryan Broyles clone, only a touch faster. Hope his hands are as good....
I feel like people often make comparisons way too flippantly, but, damn, he really does look like Broyles!
He reminds me alot of Reggie Smith. Maybe it's just the # 3 though.
Has he committed yet???....... :sarcasm
It was ooner. The most important ****et a recruit could possibly possess.Originally Posted by ElGuapoSooner
ESPN the Mag had an article on him and Barry Sanders Jr. in their recruiting magazine....he says that he is not very fast but has great hands. His uncles say they remind him of his father in every aspect of the game. He compared himself to him saying his dad wasn't fast but had great vision and knew where to be and where to go. When Derrick played, I was just starting to watch and not really old enough to be looking for players attributes like that. For those of you that remember him, how do those statements hold up?
Hopefully, Shepard won't cost us a trip to the BCS NC with a muffed punt.Originally Posted by BleeOU1
