Awesome!
Hopefully he turns out to be as much of a stud as Demontre Hurst turned out to be ... (another D recruit we cherry picked from lil bro)

Good to hear!
In Del Rio's interview he hinted there was more, but who knows. I didn't care to read the whole thing. Just saw that brief part.
EDIT: Here's the statement "Del Rio did confirm that Monken’s departure was part of the reason for his decommitment, but he added that there were other reasons as well."
I think Poke fans have been expecting Del Rio to de-commit ever since Lunt and Walsh both showed they could run the offense effectively. I don't blame him not wanting to come in and wait for 3 years to get significant PT.

Dont forget about Chaz Nelson. He is a speed rusher that we are lacking right now.

usao how many de's are we going to take this cl****?
Surely we're nearing the end of our DE recruiting. We have really got to close on some DTs at this point.

was stoops down there to see Prevot as well? and does this commitment put an end to us pursuing his teammate...we seem set at DE but id love to have both those guys
We are done with DE. Prevot projects as LB in college.Yes Stoops was seeing them both Prevot is still commited to USC but if USC picks off the Texas DT the # game will likely force them to let Prevot go
Okoronkwo is a great player you guys. Dimon,Ward and him are a stellar DE haul
I've been seeing this idea tossed around a lot lately. Lots of folks are suggesting that Tapper and Dimon could grow into DTs. I personally would prefer to see what these guys could do on the edges, but we're whiffing on every DT target so we may have to beef these guys up and move them inside.
Can he add 70 lbs and play DT??

I wasn't doubting you just adding my opinion. The kid's smart enough not to say that the only reason he chose the school was because of their offensive coordinator. This kid had more attractive options and it speaks volumes that he decommits the same day Monken takes the another job.
Got hurt and we redshirted him.
OKOR looks pretty good in his film. Quick off the ball and was rarely pushed back at only 220 playin DT. Makes me think of a Demario Pleasant type guy. Demario wasnt a starter, but was absolutely a hitter. BV called him a knockback guy that ran through the ball carrier instead of hitting and holding on for dear life like many of our players do now. Again, OKOR is quick off the ball and accelerates very well. Seems to have a non stop motor too. Needs to disengage quicker or he will get swallowed up in college.
There's only one, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo

Great free read from Rivals http://oklahoma.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1448530
Okornokwo, the son of an admitted Sooner fan, says if you'd have told him a year ago he'd be committed to Oklahoma he wouldn't have been able to believe it.
"It's unbelievable, it's an unbelievable experience, I'm so happy I got to make my parents proud, I never thought in a million years I'd end up at a place like Oklahoma."
Bump
This kid will be a freak with some more weight. Good hand technique and use of leverage.
Fyi, can we move this the Recruiting forum? Took me a while to find this.
From what I recently read on him, we should be just fine. He "never thought he'd get the chance to play at a place like Oklahoma." --> to paraphrase. The kid is ecstatic to come to OU.
His SR highlights are fantastic. Long film vs numerous teams tells me this kid is consistently putting forth a full effort. I am very excited about our future DL with him and Dimon coming in.
Thanks for making this guy flip, we got someone better in Naim Mustafaa

The Oklahoma commit was an all-state honorable mention, helping a defense that held six opponents to less than 10 points.

Hard to understand how these OSU interlopers on our boards have time to take from having **** with their animals at the vet school.
