I hope so....I think it would be hard not to listen if some other big time programs come knocking at your door.

    Armanti Foreman Commits

Just saw this on ESPN...it's not INsider so i'll post the story

Junior wide receiver Armanti Foreman (Texas City, Texas/Texas City) didn’t feel any pressure about committing early, but he also didn’t feel like he had to wait.

Oklahoma, still digging in the trenches to close out its 2013 cl**** strong, got a boost with its 2014 group as Foreman confirmed his pledge to the Sooners on Monday night.

Foreman, who is 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, was offered by the Sooners less than two weeks ago and let OU wide receivers coach Jay Norvell know about his desire to commit Monday.

“Coach Norvell was real proud,” Foreman said. “He said when I was calling him, he was writing me a letter. I thought that was kind of funny. Coach Norvell has been writing and sending me letters like almost every day. I’ve really liked that. It shows how much he cares.”

Despite the fact Foreman has not seen the OU campus, he said he felt comfortable in committing early because of the tight bond he has developed with Norvell over the last three weeks.

Foreman was named as an ESPN Watch List member last week, and OU was the first school to offer him. So far, it has been the only school. But it turns out that was enough.

“When OU is your first offer, you don’t need to see what else comes around,” Foreman said. “After doing a lot of research and talking to my dad and my family, I just thought there was no way I could p**** up a chance like this to play football at OU.”

Foreman said he is hoping to make an unofficial visit to OU later this month when the Sooners host Notre Dame.

Norvell visited Texas City a couple of weeks ago and talked to Foreman’s coach. That visit was the first time Foreman said OU had shown any interest. Foreman called Norvell back later in the week, and he said he felt that immediate connection that he knew he didn’t have to wait.

“They’ve won a lot of championships and the tradition is incredible at OU. It’s something I really want to be a part of,” Foreman said. “This wasn’t a tough decision at all.”

Foreman is the first commit for OU’s 2014 cl****.

Just take this kid off the commit list already...

As for his thoughts on the strength of his brother’s commitment to OU, D’Onta said, “I know OU is still No. 1 but he is really open to a lot of schools. He’s committed but he’s not totally, totally committed.â€

    Foreman still firm with Sooners

“The offers are still going to come in, but OU is still first right now,†Foreman said. “It’s always good to hear from Coach Norvell. I have a good relationship with him and that means a lot to have that relationship with my future position coach.â€

Why follow that? It's not worth reading Texas crap after Texas crap to get one gem about an OU recruit every month or so. Ill just wait for you to update me.

That would give me the feel of being subscribed to a recruiting info service and give me the impression you have inside info.

WR is the position we don't really have to worry about as long as we have Norvell. Maybe another **** kicking in Dallas will give this kid some perspective though.

Who knows what he thinks, but I'd be willing to bet some other programs have said they might be open to offering his brother if they take some visits.

This has been coming ever since he started speaking out for d'Onta. No surprise. Personally, d'Onta is worth a scholly. Like I've said, if Perine was worth an offer, so is d'Onta. And IMO, Armanti is not a big loss. Nothing in his films made me say "oh ****, we need this guy". We've got plenty in the fold.

I respect his choice to try and get his brother along too. No qualms with that. I wish him luck as well.
