Just heard Mark May telling Lou Holtz, "I can't wait til the beat down next week, BOOMER SOONER".
I usually don't care for Mark, but I have to agree with him. I just hope BYU doesn't beat them tomorrow.

In that same segment, Lou said that they would eek out a win over BYU before going into Norman and winning the following week. Someone should ask him who he would take in a Notre Dame/Green Bay Packers game.
Mark seems to think OU is going to destroy Notre Dame, I definitely hope so.

I almost messed the lounge chair up when I heard Mark May proclaim a beat down of ND by the Sooners. I hope it is a beat down and then see what Lou Holtz has to say.

where's okirishfan to comment about this?

Mark May was just sticking the needle into Lou, nothing more. ND is the end all/be all for Lou Holtz.
October 20th, 201206:27 AM
I'm pretty sure that Lou Holtz isn't sure of everything that comes out of his mouth at this point in his life.
October 20th, 201207:43 AM
Lou Holtz cannot say anything but positives about Notre Dame. Mark May is no doubt worn out by it and would love to see his co-host's team humbled in a big way.

When you play a very highly ranked historical program... who we have only beat once....
we had better be very happy with even a one point win.

I too will settle for a one point win. However, I really want to curbstomp the God Squad!

Lou Holtz won a national championship at Notre Dame. And Mark May is way tired of hearing about the "Flippin Irish". Thus the remark.
The one thing that concerns me about Notre Dame is that Kelly will gameplan to stop the Bell dozer. LJ pisses himself in the redzone and the Bell dozer has been way too successful.
I figure Kelly is laying awake dreaming of ways to stop that play.
On the flip side, Stoops believes the play is unstoppable and is not likely to have a back-up plan. This is where his ****iness kills OU.
October 20th, 201211:57 AM
We haven't seen the whole Belldozer yet! Trust me!
October 20th, 201212:11 PM
I may pass smooth out when we do.
October 20th, 201212:19 PM
I am aware of that --- and so is Kelly.
October 20th, 201212:24 PM
Everyone OU plays gameplans to stop it...
October 20th, 201212:39 PM
Not everyone is Brian Kelly.
Not much chance that they can come up with a better red zone offense than the Bell dozer so I guess its a moot point, but its something to think about.

**** ND and all their jackass fans
October 20th, 201209:50 PM
I'll believe it when I see it. But really all Bell would need to do is throw one quick dump off pass out of it and Brian Kelly's scheme would go up in flames faster than Big Tex. Remember, teams have all but stacked the line against the Belldozer because they're not convinced we will throw out of it. If we do, it adds an entirely new dimension to this team.

Kill Notre Dame.

This game is HUGE for the domer fan base. Not that it isn't huge for us either, but it's been a long time since they've been considered to be a legitimate national title contender. Beating a top program like OU would be like our 2000 Nebraska victory, where we were officially "back".
Domer fans seem to think today's performance was because of their team looking ahead to next week. Maybe that's the case, but it doesn't seem like their schedule has been all that difficult. They've played one true road game so far. Our offense has been awesome since the KSU game (and it looks like KSU is kinda good) but we'll find out how good our offense really is against ND. Blake Bell vs. Manti Te'o will be interesting to see.

Really? You're suprised that Mark May is saying that ND is going to get thumped? He's been saying that for the past 8 weeks.
If you think OU is going to thump ND, fine. Go with that. But don't use Mark May as evidence.

No one asked you anything.

Actually they did. Why don't you look up around post #7. Nice try though.

I can see I'm dealing with a very intelligent individual here. Remember.....use your words. And that's fine concerning the pope. I'm not catholic.
October 21st, 201212:30 AM
You're dealing with an Okie.
A real Okie.
That means you're in big ****ing trouble.
October 21st, 201212:33 AM
Consider that everyone knows we gave that game to KSU. They played well, but we beat ourselves with turnovers.
In the end, it was probably for the best. This team hasn't played this pumped up all year. After that KSU game, this team woke up. Texas was our first chance to prove it. ND may be our chance to put an exclamation point on it.
October 21st, 201212:34 AM
You don't say? I would have never have guessed.
October 21st, 201207:21 AM
Everyone has tried to scheme to stop it.

The Bobby Announcers last night kept referring to him/it as a national phenomenon, I think they were about to go full homo on him. Dudes need to step off my koolaid.
