Speaking of which, I highly dislike him... On the bright side, at least no one got injured... Got to find a way to stay positive, season is too long

All true but if they lose out on 1 seed, you go back to shitty games like tonight that should never happen.

We've lost to the shitty Wizards 2 years in a row. They were even shittier this year and even with the knowledge of last year's loss we still lost. So ****ing embarrassing tonight.

They also had their 2 leading scores when they played Miami. 5 of regulars didn't play bc of injuries. It was literally a D league squad + 3 maybe 4 NBA players.

It's comforting to look at this game in isolation, but we're 6-4 in the last 10, playing horribly in the 1st quarter, using bad lineups for the wrong situations, and defense hasn't been up to poor. Just some bad trends going into the toughest stretch of the season.

He isn't a cancer. But as much as I hate to say it, can't trade him. He'd be perfect coming off the bench and situational times. Got plenty of bargaining chips to do something though. Got faith in Presti that he will get something done.

I was thinking the same OURN... We can keep Perk and use him in certain situations, keep his minutes around 20...

He's a cancer when it comes to technical fouls. He leads league in turnovers and cant hit a shot to save his life.

Yea, Perk is far from a cancer... From my understanding, he is like the glue that keeps everyone in line.

Who gives a **** about this loss? It's going to happen from time to time. The Hornets beat the Spurs tonight also. Home court doesn't matter as much as people think. Thunder can win any series as long as they are healthy. Health and creating a bit more depth are the only two things that matter until the playoffs start.

I mean, I'm not that worried about *this* loss...but the guy who mentioned we're 6-4 in our last 10 has a point. Even then, I'm not too worried about losing the games we're losing, but more how we're losing them...particularly, Kevin Martin has looked horrible the last few games, and Kendrick Perkins is playing some of the worst defensive basketball I've seen him play in a Thunder uniform. Our bench looks pretty out of sync too, but Brooks is changing up some of the lineups and trying to find some options for a variety of situations, and I'm okay with that.

However, even with those things, I think the Thunder are still the favorites out of the west. It would be nice, though if we didn't look lackadaisical and, worse than that, entitled (see 3 Technical fouls in 4 games by KD).

Entitlement is part of the fabric of the NBA. If you don't believe that, you haven't been watching the league very long. Superstars get the benefit of the doubt from the officials. I have no problem with KD making sure the refs remember that we have 2 superstars. Just taking a ten game sample because there have been some losses in there doesn't paint the entire picture.

Miami loses games like this all the time, too. Also, it's only early January.

While I agree with you, it hasn't really been part of the fabric of the OKC thunder since they got here. So seeing it start to surface and the effects of it, while not concerning, is kind of disappointing.

I agree that is hasn't been here yet, but when a team makes the Conference Finals and then The Finals in back-to-back years it's going to happen. I don't blame our guys at all for expecting to get the calls that they see their peers getting over and over again, especially when their opponents get the calls against us. I wish it wasn't the case, but it is just a natural part of the process of becoming a Championship team.

Someone else brought Bibby's name up in the conversation but Gottlieb quickly shot that possibility down... said he has zero left in his tank...

On this PG subject, I would try to get Jose Calderon from Toronto. They guy can hit open shots and dimes like a boss. Granted he is making 10 mill, he is on his final year per ESPiN. May not be a great fit, but at 31, the guy would be a quality guy to stick with the 2nd unit IMO. Anyways, carry on.

I mean, he's depth in the front court and veteran leadership...As it stands right now, he'd help out more than Maynor...

Really impressed with Deandre Liggins tonight. He brings a lot of energy.

Sucks to see Maynor become a shadow of what he was.

At this point, I think trading Maynor would be the best thing for Maynor's career. He didn't just lose his basketball skills, he's just not playing well. A big change and the necessity to really prove himself could potentially help him break through his slump.

That, and Reggie Jackson has shown immense improvement over last year, certainly enough that the backup PG position is his to lose. Still lots to work on, but I'm particularly pleased with the work he puts in defensively.

I also feel like we're at a point in the season where we really need to start seeing what this team looks like with Westbrook and Durant both on the bench. I feel like with those 2 both on the bench, it frees up the rest of players to play...Otherwise the assumption, particularly if it's Durant + bench players, is that he'll just kind of do his thing and that they don't need to be as active. In the past 3 or 4 games, I feel like we've seen more of this, and it hasn't always led to good bench production, but every team, at least to my eyes, the bench has seemed to play with more freedom.

I can't imagine they would. He'll still be an $7.5M+ guy. I'd rather keep Martin because he's a serious threat from 3, whereas Tyreke is worse than Westbrook.
