I was a Zeta (as well as my twin sister) at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA)...it was a big school and hard to get to know people if you weren't involved in Greek life...lots of commuters. I wouldn't change it...those were some great years!!

2nd this. I didn't really see a bunch of fights to begin with, but the ones I did were actually between athletes and Greeks, guys from different houses, and occasionally if a GDI started in with the "frat guys" or "pay for your friends" schtick. Usually the root cause was disrespecting someone's house.
Bump for the new Greek kids.

I'm surprised though. I figured most of the posters on here would be members of Delta Iota Kappa.

I was a DG Houseboy as well. There were several of us from the LXA house. Good memories.

Pi Kappa Alpha, Beta Omicron (OU). We were never the biggest or the best house. In fact, our physical house was a steaming **** that mercifully was razed after the university bought the land it sat on a few years back.
Man, we had some great times though. I remember hundreds of nights walking across the street to Bill's and then stopping at the Papa John's inside Stubbeman for pizza on the walk back home. We used to steal all kinds of **** from behind the counter when they weren't looking. Cans of tomato sauce, peppers, etc. Why? Who the **** knows or cares. We just did. I also remember standing on our roof and hitting golf balls into the Couch cafeteria parking lot. In retrospect it's kind of sad the old house isn't there anymore, even though it was a dump. Campus is so much different now than it was just 10 years ago.
If there's one suggestion I would give kids that are going to college right now and thinking of joining a fraternity/sorority, it is to not take **** so seriously. I remember so many heated arguments in chapter meetings that with the benefit of hindsight were over matters that were comically trivial. College only happens once, and it doesn't last long. Don't waste it worrying about **** that will have absolutely no bearing on the rest of your life.
