Reports: Dallas Cowboy involved in a fatal car accident
Multiple news outlets are reporting that a Dallas Cowboys player was involved in a fatal crash Saturday night in Irving.

WFAA-TV is reporting that nose tackle Josh Brent has been arrested in the case. Details are limited thus far and Irving police officials have not returned phone calls seeking information. A fatal crash was reported at around 3 a.m. at 600 Cowboys Way. It is not immediately clear who was killed.

More information as it becomes available.

2 players in two weeks. What is going on? Why the hell would you be getting that drunk less than 24 hrs before you leave on a plane? Especially when you're team is still in the hunt.

    Unbelievable.

In Oklahoma, this would likely land Brent in prison for manslaughter. In Rogers County about six months ago a 20 year old was sentenced to 10 years after driving drunk and killing a young father and his infant son. I would imagine in Texas they hang 'em high for the same or similar offense.

Damn cuz, you've never driven while tipsy I take it then? If you have, we should just fulfill our duty as citizens and preventively kill you before this happens to you.

You are correct, I havent. **** like this isn't a simple mistake, or an accident. Its entirely preventable with one ounce of common sense and some maturity taking some responsibility when you drink. This shouldnt be treated like going 70 in a 60 mph zone.

So in order to respond to someone dying the logical next step is to kill someone else.

Drunk driving should be legalized in all states. It's a violation of my civil rights, if you don't like it, stay the F off the streets and sidewalks.
It's a bull**** chicken**** unconstitutional law.
There should be drink mixing stations in luxury autos.

You can actually be charged with murder in such a case in Texas, as long as its a felony DWI.
I knew a guy who had similar circumstances to the Brent case in Texas. Previously suspended license from DUI. Rear-ended a stopped car going 80 and killed the driver. He's doing like 30 years now.

Brent deserves to rot in jail for a long time, but Brown shares some responsibility for his own death along with Brent as he let Brent get behind the wheel after drinking and chose to get in the car with him.

Are you actually ****ed? How is that even related?

If you want to relate guns to this situation then here you go: If you get into a car with a drunk driver, you are playing russian roulette.

Life sentence is not enough. They should get a back flogging while held in a stockade, by the victim's family. 100 lashes before beginning the prison sentence. Dumb ****s know to call a cab, but they are too cheap to do so.
