Maybe it depends on how you look at taxes, I'm sure in many ways it can probably be proven that Bush actually raised taxes. But it's not about taxes because the government gets far too much money. It's about spending which is where government often goes wrong.
Lowering the taxes would not be a big deal if we were not paying for the never ending "war on terror"
Taxing people in a flat tax manor is probably the most fair if you are insistent on income tax. A consumption tax is OK but not spending more than you have is a huge problem. Someone should send every member of the government a letter like the ones Credit card companies have to send warning about the minimum payment.. we have a spending issue... The rich can't get us out of a whole that is already so deep and has 20 million shovels digging it deeper.
