Hate to see Norvell leave. But lets see what happens.
Really good ****istants aren't going to stay forever, it's a fact of life in college football. Just have to adjust. The HC has to be able to get
really good replacements, that's his job, something I'm not sure Bob has done of late. It's a crapshoot cause sometimes even highly touted
****istants can fall on their faces. As much as we howl over the current staff, it's not like OU has gone 8-5, 7-6 for the past couple of years.

Its looking more and more likely that we lose 3-4 games next year. Its always something for us. Whether it be injuries or coaches leaving.
i was kind of hoping for a little change during off season but not this. Heupel and Norvell are not only two of our best position coaches (along with being good OC's ... again only in their second year) but our best recruiters too.
losing both would be a disaster.
If we lose Josh and/or Norvell, I think Seth Littrell is going to get a phone call.

agree with patton ... hell, LJ threw the ball over a 150 times in the last 3 games and was sacked maybe less than 5 times. i'm sure that had more to do with the OL than LJ's mobility. injuries have killed us in the last few years and he's done a good job making do with what's left.
Carey is reporting something on it over at soonerscoop.
Which is predicting next year's record before this year is done is ludicrous.I understand what you guys are trying to say.
Hello new offensive coordinator Norvell... Here is hear to kick **** and chew bubble gum and he is all out of bubble gum!

if he does leave, will we wish we had him back next year?
From a recruiting standpoint. We want Josh to go and not Norvell. If Norvell goes WOOF. Josh is ready to be a HC. His goal is to be Oklahomas HC he has to cut his teeth somewhere

Against who outside of the ND game? (which isn't attributed to them being better, just a damn curse) Sans OSU and Texas, a lot of the opposition loses very key personnel and OSU is having to replace an offensive coordinator and Texas still has issues on both sides of the ball. It's not just about OU, it's also about who they play.

I like Mangino the HC. But I don't want Mangino the OC or Mangino the O-line coach or Mangino the recruiter.

We run the ball 43% of the time. We have had a banged up oline that is awesome at p**** protection. We have had our best running year since 2008. We have had our best scoring offense since 2008. We've had our best offensive yards per play since 2008. We are completing over 50% of third down conversions. If it wasn't for some bad ill timed turnovers, we could be playing for the national championship. Our O hasn't been a problem and neither has Josh.
But proceed to want to run Josh out of town just like you did with Kevin Wilson (not directed at you el jefe, but the entire board)
Our offense has been really good for how banged up we have been.

Yet we can't run the ball, or score, when it matters.
We get a lot of stats against teams with atrocious defenses, but we can't run the ball against championship quality teams unless a have the NFL quality OL on the team.
Josh has turned the La Tech job down per Rivals. Norvell though is still in the running
going to change the name of the thread
