A little surprised we are ranked that high.

Texas A&M will be a trendy team picked to win the SEC West next year.
Since when is A&M a "usual suspect?" There nothing usual about them being anywhere near the top 10 pre-season in the past decade or so.

Setting up real nice for the SEC to have 6 teams with 1 loss or less next year. I have not done the research to confirm this but have all the confidence in the world the schedule makers in the SEC have it figured out.

Preseason polls need to end. Until games are played no one should be ranked jack crap.

They might be picked to win the SECwest, but I doubt that they can defeat Bama and LSU in the same year....despite having Johnny Football. Bama opens conference play at the Aggies....and I would be willing to bet that Satan will have a game plan for that young man!
They could lose at LSU next year, but next year they have Alabama at home. Saban's defense sucks **** against those no huddle offenses, and Alabama's offenisve line will probably have to replace 3 starters next year. I hate to admit it, but I could see those pissants being Saban's kryptonite at Alabama.
I will say this about Johney Manziel. That kid has the athletic ability of Scam Newton but not the physical stature. One day that kid could be running out in the open field and some safety comparable to Eric Berry or Laron Landry knocks his **** out for few weeks.
It's not a preseason poll if Florida State isn't in the top 10. And on what basis is OU #9? We will have a new QB. We lose a great CB and maybe Jefferson besides Harris and Harris. Justin Brown will be gone and maybe Stills. We lose 5 from the DL, and we lose our starting LT. We may be great next season, but that would be a risky prediction.
tOSU will be playing for a NC next year. Mark it down. Check this out:

Bogus poll. No N Illinois, no Wisconson, no Louisville? C'mon. These are BCS contenders, remember?

Alabama has a good shot at going unbeaten, but starts out tough. Two DI-AA teams in the non-con, though

Next man in. ND lost one of the best WR's in the nation last year and they seemed to do okay. Although you can't always go by recruiting, BK has been doing a great job. The LB that will be replacing Te'o, Jaylon Smith, is supposed to be even better, if that's possible. Just signed the 2nd best RB in the nation. A freshman QB that has nowhere to go but up. Young WR's with T.J. Jones getting better and better. A not so difficult looking season next year. The future is bright.
Don't know if this has been posted here, but its purty interstin
Tuberville thinks A&M have tougher time next season,

A&M has a beautiful schedule for next year. 8 home games. Vandy and Mizzou from the East. Bama at home after 2 tune up games with Rice and Sam Houston. LSU is in BR but A&M gets them after they play Bama, UGA, and UF so they may be out of the race by then (I would actually expect them to be). If A&M beats Bama they have an easy ride to the SECCG as even if they lose to LSU it may not matter with 2 LSU losses. If they win the SECCG they are in the NCG almost certainly. Not saying it will happen at all but A&M has as good of a shot as anyone, esp if we can keep at least one of the big OL. Joekel and Moore are almost certainly gone though, both are locks for Top 10 in the draft and may both go Top 5.
It is a little bit funny though to hear Sooner fans complain about the SEC getting gentle treatment in preseason polls. OU seems to be on auto pilot as a pick to win the Big 12 and be Top 10 every year. You had several folks pick you as NC this year in spite of your shaky ending to last season. You may well win it all but on paper it's hard to see.
I'm an OSU fan but your last point "may" be the dumbest yet. OU actually DOES win the Big 12... a lot. Of course they would be given the benefit of the doubt every year. You just admitted above to having an easy schedule, as does most of the SEC each year but the polls keep putting 5 of the top 7 as SEC. You don't see anything to complain about with that?
The Big 3 in the SEC West could go 1-1 against eachother like this year, and given a favorable East schedule, win the tiebreaker and head to Atlanta. A&M's east opponents are Vandy and Mizzou. Beat Bama, and you have the inside track on the division, and much like the last 7 years, if you win the SEC, you most likely also have the inside track on playing for it all.
