NFL Ticket Streaming: Mobile Data Usage

So, I have a family holiday gathering in a small town in Texas Sunday. Unfortunately, it's smack dab in the middle of my Broncos-Ratbirds game. This house doesn't have Wi-Fi, so I'll be forced to stream.

Question: Any idea how much data it takes to stream a full football game to an iPad via the Direct TV Sunday Ticket app?

Normally I'd try to do a media blackout, but the damn Texans game is on instead so I won't be able to record it.

a 3 hours game should be just over 2 gigs, whats your limit?

I'd have to buy data for the iPad if I went that route. I'm "unlimited" on my iPhone.

Tell that asian wife of yours to get over it and stay in homoville for the game.

Long story, but it's the house owned by my wife's 90-something-year-old grandma who now lives in a nursing home in West. The only time the house is used for family gatherings. It's small, old and void of any type of technology.

Normally I'd just deal, but this is arguably the Donks' biggest game of the year. (Though the Texans' choke job didn't help.)

If Meni is right, I'll just use the iPad. I just didn't want to rip through 10GB of data or something.

gotcha. and yes, big game for the Broncs. Buzz is awesome up here. I read they other day that hi-def streaming is about 400 mb/hour and low-def is about 200 mb/hour.

If I do that I lose the "unlimited" plan. Not worth it.

Just watch it on your phone?

I would also thoroughly research the area before buying extra data. Are you sure there is 4g in the area? Is it An LTE phone? If so you are unlikely to get much in the way of coverage beyond 3g in small town texas, depending on your carrier, which could be problematic for streaming.
