Kliff Kingsbury new HC at Tech

...I work with that Kliff Kingsbury is the next HBC at Tech. Could just be wishful thinking.

He's a very good OC, can he manage all facets of a team?

    Yay. Another thread.

Everyone is reporting the same thing on Twitter, including credible sources. I also have heard it independently of all that from my source on Tech's campus.

If he's smart, he hires an experienced, retiring coach (Price from UTEP) and pays him to be special teams coach for a couple of seasons.

I dont like sorting through the BS of an 11-12 page thread about every coaching change in Div. 1. Sorry.

Heard a rumor from a Tech fan...

“@KevinSumlin: Vince Young called & asked if he could be my next OC. I told him I'd hire him over the phone if he could spell "Coordinator." He hung up.”

Just saw on WFAA on Channel 8 that KK is the new TT HC.

You might remember Kliff Kingsbury from such films as "I Lost to Nebraska by 53 Points" and "Take That, Baylor!"

Boom or bust hire. Tough conference to cut your teeth as a first time HC.

Oh I know. That was a BOOM hire for us. Still think what I said is true. It's not going to be easy to win the Big12 in Lubbock. He'll sink or swim, I don't see a middle ground. Who knows though? He's very smart and I think it's a good hire for Tech.

You know he went there for college. They actually might know exactly what they're getting into. They think that he is their best fit.

Just doing my daily there, their, and they're.

I remind everyone that the last time OU played in a bowl game as an underdog, the opposing OC had just accepted a job as HC @ Georgia......I'm just sayin'.

This is either going to be really good or really bad for Tech. The only thing that would make it a bad fit for Tech though is that he's too young.

yes he did,and everything he failed at that night he carried over to his new job. He hasn't had an offense at UGA half as good as he had at FSU.

None of the players have been half as good at Georgia.

Listening to The Ticket the other day they said Kingsbury was close with Leach and didn't figure he'd want to deal with the same administration that screwed Leach over. On the other hand, this is kind of like Leach sticking it to them, having one of his own guys replace the guy that replaced him.

AMEN! Someone like Price on his payroll could be the difference in long-term success and being fired after two years. Price may have a weakness for cheap hookers but he does know the ins and outs of being a head coach in a hostile environment.

I wish the young Mister Kingsbury al the best...except when playing OU.

I think this is good news for the Cotton Bowl. Kingsbury helped Manziel alot with the audibles. OU 45 ATM 42
