...He was a hard worker in practice and in games. But off the field, he was living a completely different life. "I took golf, fishing, and softball as classes," Clarett says. "Away from cl****, anything you can think of I did in my 13 months at Ohio State." Drugs and women were two of the things. Cars were another—he owned three of them at a time, including a brand-new Cadillac and Lexus. "I was living the NFL life in college," he says. "I got paid more in college than I do now in the UFL..."

I've always wondered how long until Clarett would come clean about his days at tOSU. This will be interesting to see if the NCAA decides to talk with him to learn more. I wouldn't be surprised to see some LSU or Bama guys who failed at life come out and talk about the same type stuff as Clarett did in the next decade. My money is on Honey Badger.

Very good read. I hope he is able to continue the road he seems to be on. It takes a big man to not only change his life, but try to air all his bad decisions to others so maybe they can learn from those poor choices.

Most schools offer Basketball, Golf and other sport related classes for a couple of reasons.
1. Extra Revenue: It provides the school with additional an additional revenue stream and strings out the amount of time a student takes to earn their degree. I took a Golf and Basketball while I was in college. Those classes were hard to get into because they are fun.
2. Prepare Coaches: Some colleges use these type classes to help prepare students who are going into coaching. It allows those students to learn certain sports that they may not have played enough to fully grasp, but maybe required to teach as they work for a school where they have to were many different hats.
3. Mind Body & Soul: Some colleges require students to take a certain number of hours of athletic hours to go along with their degrees. Basically, it comes from the mantra a healthy body will promote a healthy mind.

He needs to go on a speaking tour for high school aged kids to attend and tell this. Too many kids think prison is cool.

Clarrett is a huge ****hole. How many people did he hurt? He robbed and endangered tons of people. Also, if he should not have been eligible to even enroll at OSU much less play. OSU kept OU out of the MNC game that year.

If by OSU you mean Ohio State and Oklahoma State then yes...there were several teams ahead of OU that year including Washington State.
