It's going to be a fun competition to watch between those three.

NOT a shock, but still sucks to hear. Allen looked very servicable, and his experience in the system cannot go unnoticed. Hopefully the back-ups will know their stuff should anything happen to the starter.

If so, not shocked. Wish him well...he's been a great representative.

Surprised he waited this long. I figured he was out after 2011.

Seems to be a good kid. Hope he does well where he goes.

I figured he would have stuck around to see if he could work his way into a timeshare with Blake next season.... Real good kid and super nice family. Wish him well!

Best of luck to Drew. I wonder if Bell would transfer if he doesn't start next season.

  16. #16
Good Luck to Drew Allen, never seemed to **** & moan and understood his role. I wish him much success.

  17. #17
I think he is a rs? He has to go to a D2 to play I think?

Not sure what his eligibility is for DIV I. Probably two years at a lesser school if he also goes into a masters degree program. He has six years to complete four. I think he has completed three. Guess we will find out soon what he is going to do.

Yeah, this sounds kinda odd to me, too. I was thinking he didn't have but a year of eligibility left.

If he graduates he can transfer to another FBS program as long as they offer a post grade degree in something OU doesnt offer. He doesnt have to go to FCS if he graduates

I wonder if he knows the Matt Cassell story?

Don't know, but I do know Maryland was down to their 5th string QB, a converted LB at one point.

That's what I've always heard. Graduate and transfer to UTSA to play one year for Larry Coker.

He could sit on the bench in Norman and not have to watch them aggies kissing their sisters.

Ah, you're right! He could beat out Mark Sanchez if the Jets gave him a shot.

Sanchez is horrible. Time for them to cut him loose.

I hope the best for Drew. He always looked pretty interested on the sidelines even knowing he probably wasn't going to play.

Hate to hear that, I was always impressed with how he seemed so genuinely excited on the sidelines for the success of his fellow teammates. Seems like a great kid, wish him much success

Badass running back from Wynnewood. His dad played for the Sooners back in the mid-90s.

But Sammy played like what, 2 games in 09? So does that really count??

And Bradford is as good/better as the two mentioned... Landry, on the other hand, not even close.

Leinart stinks in the NFL. Landry can be just as good. In college, if LJ had Norm Chow and a supporting cast like Leinart, LJ wins a Heisman and a NC too.
