Tip of the cap to Allen. Hope he lands somewhere where he can shine.
With that said...
Three QB's on the roster to do battle next year and all three of them can run. Praise Jebus.

Can't say I blame him. Hope he finds a place to show off his talents.

I get it, but don't agree with if. If OU uses Blake Bell as a physical runner as well as a passer, he will take a lot of abuse. Allen has a chance to play next year, never know how thing will play out.
Fier Vanables!
I am hearing he is in talks with Nicholls State University.

Best of luck to Drew!
No competition at all.
Best of luck to Drew. I hoped they would have used Allen as a holder on field goals and extra points for the threat of QB on trick plays (make other teams prepare for it at least). He has always been a model team player and seems like a high quality person.
Hell, if I was him, I'd transfer to Washington State just to be around Leach for a couple of years. That would definitely be entertaining.

What is Drew's situation in terms of eligibility? Is he graduating and he can go straight to another D1 program, or does he have to go D2 in order to play immediately?
I heard he's transferring to Michigan State... to play Wide Receiver.

So far no one else is reporting this besides the all-trustworthy James Hale. Hmmm..
So there was no way to turn him into a DE or LB...
Drew, are you transferring ?? I know you read this board...
https://twitter.com/Jake_Trotter/sta...32379816927232Trotter: OC Josh Heupel said today that QB Drew Allen has NOT raised to him the possibility of transferring

Im hoping that it isn't true. I cant think of a single quarterback that has transferred that wouldn't have started a few games (im sure there is one) sue to injury. Its a miracle Landry never missed a game.
Why do I get the feeling BB will get injured and Drew would've wished he stayed?
Per Boots: Hale is often wrong and peddles speculative rumors

Drew Allen is not transferring.

There is no QB competition in the spring. Bell will get the No. 1 reps necessary to prepare to be the starter for 2013. Not sure what makes someone think otherwise.

Not sure what makes anybody think Bell should be the #1 next year simply because he took snaps and ran into the end zone as the Belldozer. The QB position will be open next season and there will be no #1 going into spring ball. Should be an exciting competition and there's no logic in saying it should be Bell's job at this point over anybody else.
My source within the program says drew isn't transferring.
