Yeah, they still play.

The #1 recruit generally goes to the NFL, so I think it is pretty safe to say that a guy like AD (even though he wasn't a unanimous as #1 recruit...Bomar got the nod in some circles) would have been an erly pick no matter where he went to college, same with Andrew Luck, etc.

Might as well get a half a million dollar education while in school.
