Sorry if I missed this somewhere and you can delete the thread if need be, but how many scholarship does OU have to give out in 2013? can't find a number anywhere.

It'll be a full cl**** 25 maybe 26. 6-7 more spots Moving to the Recruiting forum
Nice thanks for the info
Right now we have 21 to give. 18 verbals, plus Tee Shepard as a possible transfer.
Even with their "new" recruiting regulations some SEC teams are still loading up.. A&M is at 34.. Georgia at 30. How the hell do these guys get away with it and why can't we? Numbers matter.
UGA had like 8 kids transfer/expelled/quit in preseason that's how they are getting there.
They had a small cl**** in 2012 so they are moving 9 ships from that cl****
and then 25 for feb 2013
Really, the key number is 85 total schollies. You can put January guys on last year's cl****, if you have room on the 25, but you also have to have room on the 85. That is why OU couldn't let Trevor Knight enroll early; they needed the 85th ship for McNamara, who was for a great need position at TE. Only 5 seniors graduated at the semester for OU.
It would seem to make sense to let schools just fill out to 85 even if they had to take 40 in one year but anything that's sensible would go against any NCAA agenda.
So you wouldn't mind texas taking the top 40 in texas on a given year and leaving us with scraps. There's a reason why that rule is in place. It also keeps schools from cutting kids that aren't cutting it just to grab the next best thing. You hear people ****ing about Saban and sec tactics, well it would be a lot worse if you could just "fill out to 85" every year. Total unfair recruiting advantage for certain schools
