We had been doing the same thing but our kids were annoyed this year so we did both. Good for the kids to be able to help with the gifts for the giving tree.
We don't have kids yet so we do this. You know I say a lot of dumb things, bad jokes and snarky comments but I am not serious about any of them except this: we started doing this because kids were asking for underwear. Something so simple and we take for granted but it broke my heart to see stuff like that.
