Knight dazzling in scout team practices

    http://espn.go.com/blog/colleges/okl...-scout-team-qb

“I was like, ‘This kid is unreal. Why is he doing this to us?’ ” said end R.J. Washington. “I’m not mad at him -- we need the look. But at the same, you’re like, ‘Trevor, you throw another p**** like that, I’m going to hit you in the back of your head.’ ”

“He rarely throws picks,” Jefferson said. “All his passes in scout team are on point. He makes good decisions. His deep ball is pretty amazing. He can run.”

“I will leave it up to him to show you.”

Looks like Bell may not be the heir apparent people are expecting him to be.

This reminds me of OU preparing for the Fiesta versus WVU and the scout team QB (Broyles?) playing Pat White was torching the defense. On one hand we're lucky to have him to mimic Johnny H, but if he's actually abusing our 1s on defense, holy crap! Landry and the O better bring their A+ game.

Pretty sure I remember the OU defense comparing Roy Finch to a certain USC RB. I'll believe it until I see it on the field.

So if OU stops Johnny Football in the cotton bowl does that mean Trevor Knight us better than Johnny Football? And therefor Trevor Knight deserves the heisman ?

He's the next Johnny Football, imo.

Are you kidding? NOBODY can stop Johnny Football, can't even contain him, even NFL defenders tremble at the mention of his name.

Somebody tell RJ he's doing that to them because they're not any good.

If Knight couldn't do well against our D he should transfer.

Trevor is actually 6'2"without with his shoes off so he will play at just over 6'3" with cleats on. Trust me he is not 5'10" or 6'1". He is also weighing in at 210. He is plenty big enough. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Had a good feeling about him being the starter next season for a little while now ... Also was told some good 2nd hand info from a guy that has many interactions with players and has been reliable in the past about how much the players have been gushing over the kid(Knight) for a little while now.

The main question I have ****uming the things I hear are even half true is will we, as I am ****uming we will, continue with the Belldozer package for short yardage?

Yep from everything I have seen he is listed consistently at 6'1 or 6'2 with the 6'1 listings being older than the 6'2 listings which would indicated he has grown an inch since Serior yr is HS which would obviously be normal and almost expected I would guess

I recall them saying many of the same things about Bell his RS year. How quickly we forget.

I will be extremely surprised if Bell isn't our starter. If he isn't then Knight is pretty damn good.

I like this kind of problem.

Bell has not done anything in his limited action to convince me he is the starter next year. I think it will definitely be a competition in the spring.

This is my initial thought too.

The last guy who really tore up things as the scout QB was Sam Bradford.

A good question is: how much better thanw BB would Knight have to be to get the nod over the upperclassman? And if he does get the nod, what does it say in the qb recruiting wars going forwards? This race has alot of implications. Also I think a split locker room is a real possibility here.

Neither BB nor TK would allow a split locker room, IF they are the leaders they're supposed to be.
