Kid's an elite wrestler who has committed to OU.
Watching him play in the 5A Texas Final FB game for Allen vs. Lamar.
Too bad this kid isn't D1 FB size. He does everything and seems to tough as nails.

Hate to take away a prospect from the wrestling but this kid seems like he would make a great safety, 4.5 speed put 20 lbs on him and you know he would not be afraid of contact with a wrestling background. With our defensive it seems like the safeties now make most of the tackles, if he could play at this level he would get more than his share of tackles.
Think Granny Liggins, Dr. Death Williams, No Quarter McQuarters, it's been done in the past. Not gonna happen but this kid would be tough.
The toughest kid from this cl**** looking at his films looks like Ogbonnia.
Random side note-- it seems like all of our elite "Olympic" sports athletes have been transferring. Mookie Salaam (track) and Tyler Caldwell (wrestling) are two that come to mind. We keep most of our elite gymnasts though.
Edit: I guess Salaam didn't transfer, he quit to work on track professionally.
Was the last wrestler/football player Leonce Crump in '02?
Forgot about Cowboy Bill Watts in the late 50s, early 60s. Was on the squad buit not in many matches.
Wahoo MCDaniel wrestled in the pros but don't think he was on the mat team at OU. He did throw the weights in some dual track meets when the scoring was for third place also. like Bedlam track.(which unfortunealy has bee dropped). Plus He did run a marathon as a joke one year. Loved to hear PA announcer call out "back in punt formation, Wahoo McDaniel".

He is an excellent football player, but he will be an All American wrestler.
