If those firefighters had guns they'd be alive today.
Not surprised CNN is going to pick this up. Every gun related incident from now on will suddenly become national news. They have their agenda and its time to pile on.
Anyway, very tragic for these firefighters. Sounds like this guy has been bad for a while. Wonder why he was out of prison?
Good God.....what's wrong with people in that country? It's something each and every day.
Somehow it will come out that SoCali was there and it was he who single handedly took down the gunman after saving 14 people from the blaze and taking 4 bullet wounds while charging the gunman.

I've had a few guns pointed at me over the years and fire trucks were shot at during the Rodney King riots, but this situation, while unbelievable to most, is something in the back of many of our minds. Sad deal for these guys in a rural department. The bottom line is that regardless of laws or bans, if somebody wants to kill you, me or anybody, there is nothing that will ever stop them.

An uber liberal California judge said the cushy prisons out here are just too mean and overcrowded for the inmates and made the department of corrections release many and kick others down to the county jails which are overcrowded. So the jails are kicking out guys doing less than 10% of their sentence.
One of these early kicks got in a high speed chase with a cops a few weeks back and crashed into a firefighters wife and young daughter.
The daughter was killed and the wife was seriously injured.

People die all the time, man. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are some of the worst days for suicides, car wrecks, domestic homicides. Yet those won't be plastered all over CNN.

Things like this happen and it's news, not some liberal agenda.
Feel sad for the families right before Christmas. Feel sad for them either way but more so now.
It's not the fact that they are reporting it's the way they are reporting it.
One problem I have is the picture and name of the shooter all over the news. This kind of stuff is going to get worst. These crazies are now trying to one up each other because of the "fame" that comes with doing something like this. Think about it...this guy kills firemen to his own house fire and gets his picture all over nat'l news. He is now a celebrity in his mind.
The media needs to stop posting more about these cowards that kill the innocent more than the victims. I just hate how the news does that. I just wish the news wouldn't do that so these crazies don't get the fame that they want. That is one of my opinions on this. I want to know about the innocent that were murdered so we can honor them not some coward.

Clearly all firemen should carry guns.
Within the next few days, the NRA will call for armed guards to be stationed at all structural fires.

Why would firemen have to carry guns? NYC doesn't let you carry guns unless you're a cop. Even out of state CHL holders from Texas and Oklahoma aren't allowed to carry there. We need to do full body scans on people from now on. More gun control? Sure! Making guns illegal means nobody in the city will carry one and the criminals who would will be too scared of the consequences, never mind that a fine or imprisonment is smaller than losing millions in a botched drug deal.
That's our biggest problem. We just don't care as much about anything anymore IMO.
