Can't you just get along. Be the bigger person.

Good call....we should make this the official in-law Christmas thread. Always enjoy a good in-law story.
Any doozies?
Someone in the clan sharing their germs w/others and invariably making others ill.
Lucky enough to have some really good ones.

The worst part is being far from home, and my son being at his dad's house tonight. When I'm supposed to go pick him up in the morning we are expecting strong thunder storms... Hooray
I love my in-laws. Worst part is the shopping.
I don't have to get drunk to piss mine off. Pretty much me breathing pisses them off

In laws are ok. Shopping for them sucks because they have money and like to give nice gifts as a sign of appreciation. They expect the same in return from their daughter and me.

Today being Christmas Day, I shall refrain from uttering any negative comments about my wonderful in laws. I love them so much, and hope they stay another week.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with such . . . anymore.

The least offensive thing about my mother in law is that she is an aggie.
She's seldom right, but never in doubt. Also has a wonderful knack of letting you know that you just don't measure up to whatever standard she might have had in mind.
Since she wanted a tv for xmas, I'm sure she'll get around to thanking us for the $500 gift certificate to best buy. Maybe I was out of the room when she said it.
You even have obviously learned to not try and pick out a specific TV for her as I am sure it would have been the wrong one... So the Gift Card was clearly the wise way to go except... You left her with no way to insult you or complain so really you limited her option(s) to simply refusing to say thanks ... Not sure what you were expecting what other way would she have passive-aggressively told you that you do not measure up to her child? lol

Im lucky. I dont have to do the in law thing yet. Havent met the current girlfriends parents.
They just left. But not before waking us up at 4am, so they could leave early to avoid a snow storm expected in Utah. Yeah, 4am. And, it's now 7:45.
