I wouldn't be surprised if Roy Finch transfers.
Based on recruiting hype, I would say RJ Washington.

Who was the 5-star LB from Colorado that played as much or less than RJ, mid 2000s? Zach Latimer? I thought he was about as good as RJ...not very.
I'll throw Jamarcus Macfarland (sp?) name out there

Latimer actually played decent towards the end if his career.
Has to be Moe. If this guy had had any heart and discipline he could have been an all time great.

No Doubt about it.
He's the biggest waste of talent.

The receiver that had the kidney injury. Jazz Reynolds.
Brent Rawls, if talent equals hype. Tommy Grady, same thing. Now, if we want to get creative about how a talent comes to be wasted, I think Trey Millard's name needs to be mentioned. A vast underutilization can definitely lead to one's talent being wasted.

as far as a "waste" and not "bust" or "disappointment" I would put forth in no particular order: James hanna, trey millard, roy finch and co. (j.miller ect) ... and to a smaller degree Paul thompson( bad situation and timing for him, for the team maybe not so much)
Ben Panter's talent was wasted.

C'mon dude, you bench 500+ and you are a large human...
What the hell happened to Austin Haywood? Thought he was going to be a good one.
Transfered to Central Arkansas (FCS) well he lasted a semester and now....

I'm taking it as someone who had the talent to play and couldn't get out of their own way, therefore i nominate Akim Millington
I ****ume you mean actual talent and not hype which should change some answers. By that measure I believe it's Bomar.
Jermie Calhoun waves hello....

Anyone remember the poster on OUI. Pretty sure it was a sock account that hyped Danta Hickson as the greatest athlete ever?
Also Chaney should've been a LB![]()
Wouldn't say Dupree's talent was being wasted while he was at OU.. He was a GREAT rb while he was here he just didn't stay.. Dupree didn't practice he wanted special treatment and Barry made a decision to not show him any special favoratism.. Maybe Barry now thinks he should have.. BUT, Not Stoops era.
Are you kidding me? Yeah, Barry admits he should have handled Dupree better. But that is simply because with Dupree in the backfield, we would have most likely won the national title in 1984 as well. With Dupree being a junior, we wouldn't have tied Texas and we probably would have overcome a poor defensive performance in the Orange Bowl to beat Washington. Dupree was a great running back and could have been great, but he didn't have a good attitude. Coaches hate that "me" ****. Its a team game and even the biggest "player's coaches" like Switzer want nothing but a player's best effort and respect.
Dupree has admitted that his attitude was not what it should have been, and would have done differently if he knew then what he knows now. Sorry his dishonest friend/agent took him for so much money.
Yeah. In the 30 for 30 on him, he tells the interviewer how much he regretted not staying at Oklahoma. He could have been apart of the the national championship team in '85, and could have brought another one in '84. Had Dupree been in the backfield, we could have overcome some bad officiating in the Texas game and maybe beaten Washington in the Orange Bowl.
Who was the WR a few years ago who Stoops pulled his scholly before he got on campus. It seems like the guy made a rap video about drugs and ho's
