    Underwhelming foods at Restaurants.

What foods at restaurants are you always or almost always disappointed with.

I have 2,well 2 to start with. Nachos and chicken fried steak. Too many places use nacho cheese instead of melting grated cheese and they'll try and put refried beans on their nachos to make it look as if they are "loaded". Fresh jalapeños also are 100x better than pickled.

Also frozen chicken fried steak sucks. Freshly breaded is the only way to go. Most frozen CFS also have more breading than meat. It makes for a terrible meal

Chicken (or veal) marsala is almost always a disappointment, as is jumbalaya.

    Agreed.

Most of the time grilled chicken entrees are disappointing for me. I guess I prefer grilling/seasoning myself.

I would say the side dishes at many BBQ restaurants are often horrible. The meat may be great, but then they may have the shittttiest cole slaw, potato salad, beans, etc. No excuse for that.

I personally do not like the Cheesecake Factory and think its overrated...the cheesecake is good, but I'm yet to be impressed by their food...

Menu is too big. When your selection is that expansive, you end up serving frozen food.

Really? I love their cranberry club.

It's just a cheap sit down sandwich joint.

Steaks. The cuts of meat I order don't require 17 ****es. If you want a rare or medium rare steak you can very seldom get it. The last two times (in a row) that I ordered a ribeye (at 2 different steak restaurants) they brought me a strip. What's up with that?

I'm speechless. Though I have questioned your culinary tastes when I hear how much hummus you eat.

I never get pasta at a restaurant as I make it at home and make my own sauces.
