Mike Tolbert.
Agreed. Always thought the 2013 O would be pretty damn salty if Bell lives up to the hype, but losing Millard will have a big effect. WR corps should be solid even if Stills declares, especially if we land Laquon Treadwell.
On the defensive side, we already know there will be tremendous growing pains, given that we'll be replacing 3/4 of the D-Line and at least half of the secondary. Having turnover at all four DB spots will be extremely difficult. I can't think of the last time, if there was a time in the Stoops Era, we've done that.
Maybe this will set us up for a run in 2014. I honestly think that making the Cotton Bowl next year would be a tremendous success.
I think that he will be utilized as a tailback in the league getting about 15 carries a game for any team that drafts him, he would do well in Pittsburgh and they need a back that can stay healthy (Mendenhall, Redman are always hurt and he would fit well in with them)
I wouldn't get your hopes up on Treadwell but we have a lot of stud WRs that Norvell has brought in. I want Millard back and believe he could become a bigger focal point next year with Bell getting his feet underneath him in the pocket. Offensively we should be really good yet again, defense is an unknown at this point with so many question marks.
I too think 2014 is going to be our year to make a legit run at the title
Colvin needs to stop reading his press clippings. He had great stats because everyone picked on him. Teams were afraid to challenge Hurst, except on deep balls and sometimes over the middle. People very rarely challenged Hurst on the out routes, but routinely picked on Colvin on out routes, hence lots of tackles and some good break ups to be fair.
I am referring to the notion he will be a big time player in the offense and get a lot of carries and catch out of the backfield. Stating he is much more talented than just to block although he does a hell of a job of that now.
I believe in the NFL he will be either a starting back or a guy that splits carries fairly evenly. He's damn good with the ball in his hand
