Why would anyone put a Bowl Game in NYC is beyond me. If I was WVU or Syracuse I would not be happy having to play in this crap. The Big 12 should have never agreed to this bowl game.
With the collapse of the Big East, I doubt this bowl last much longer. Personally, I'd rather give this bowl to the B1G and ACC, and get the Independence Bowl, with the SEC tie-in, back.Originally Posted by CNCSOONER

Since I love NYC, this would be a great lower tier bowl I would attend. Eff going to Shreveport or Jacksonville or some BS city like that. I will take the snow and Christmas in NYC over those hell holes any day.
I was in the military for a very long time,and pulled duty in Jacksonville,Fl. twice,owned a house there,one of the lowest crime-rates in the state(then) and not the plasticized-tourist-trap like Miami,Orlando.Shreveport is probably the cleanest city in the entire state of Louseyiana and the people are without a doubt very proud to be from there and were some of the friendliest I've met in the state,my kin are from Big Lake and most still live there. I don't know what happened to you to make you think what you think of these two cities,but I thoroughly enjoy(ed) both places.Sorry for your bad experiences.
Big 12 needs more bowls in Phoenix.
If it's going to be kept, there needs to be an ACC tie-in. With Notre Dame, Louisville, Rutgers, Syracuse and Pitt making their Big East exodus in the next year, the only attractive teams to play would be Boise State and Cincinnati, but those two should probably dominate what's left of that **** conference and therefore be in bigger bowls.

If it weren't for the elements, this would probably one of the highest attending bowl thus far, given NYC's proximity to both campuses.

Crap weather, this could be a great game if not for the snow.
This is more about the weather than NYC. I myself, love NYC and have had some great times there. A bowl reward should be more about the warm climate and beaches not cold and Yankee stadium. (IMO)
